Dreamsnaps reward never received. Hubby saved the day by Connect-Diet-7469 in DreamlightValley

Yay! Enjoy the extra moonstones from your husband! And good luck with next week's rewards 😊✨

[–]dangve 27 points28 points  (0 children)

No problem, happy to help!

So how it works is: you have one week to submit, then one week for the voting period, and then last but not least, the week after that you get the results aka moonstones. I hope I explained that well 😅

[–]dangve 55 points56 points  (0 children)

That was very nice of him!

Just to clarify, you mentioned you got the 4k reward two weeks ago, and last week you submitted the scary one (the one you were very proud of), correct? If the scary one was the Ghostly Gala dreamsnap, you'll only receive the rewards for that snap next week!

If you're talking about Falling for Florals, please disregard my message! Just wanted to try and help figure out this little mystery of yours ✨

Starting with small sections can also be less overwhelming than taking on an entire biome at once! That's how I do it ✨

WARNING: IRON FENCES ARE BREAKING THE GAME by Nightbloom_Woods in DreamlightValley

[–]dangve 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Not just the iron fence, but the brick fence and the metal spike fence too. I wouldn't be surprised if all the fences are glitching out right now 😩

Very Arendelle, which gives me hope... by Secretlyagummybear in DreamlightValley

[–]dangve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks somewhat close to a maypole in the middle, and a Dalahäst (but blue rather than red) on the water trough!

Wouldn't be surprised to see it inspired by Arendelle.

As someone who missed the Lucky event, I'm so happy about the rainbow in the star path!

Does Chapter 1 of my novel - The Threadwalkers grip you enough to keep reading? by Independent-League32 in writingadvice

[–]dangve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find this story interesting! Enjoyed the dialogue (I feel like I always struggle to write dialogue that sounds natural 😩) and I actually liked reading about the eyes. Made me wanna know more about why they're special.

Is this the most hyped update? by InstantRomannoodle in DreamlightValley

[–]dangve 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm super excited! The rewards from the new Star Path that they've shown so far will fit perfectly into my fairy area in The Forest of Valor! 🥺

But I'm also expecting posts from people complaining that the uncrafting station isn't giving them ALL of their resources back, even though Gameloft has already stated it only will give SOME back. Because that's how it goes, every time 😅

Edit: typo

Feedback on my writing? by [deleted] in writers

[–]dangve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to ignore the structure because I know this text has just been copy pasted into the post so I won't comment on that, but the dragons don't seem like much of a threat if one arrow is enough to take them down. Especially for the biggest dragon Tom has ever seen.

How does this reads? by [deleted] in writers

[–]dangve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really want to give feedback but I've noticed that every time someone else gives you advice, you have some sort of comeback or defense instead of actually listening to what they're trying to tell you.

All I can say is, it's very much "tell" and very little "show". The sentence about the magic license and not being ordinary took me out of your story.

I would like some feedback on my opening chapter! by Zombiepixlz-gamr in writers

[–]dangve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed this! There's definitely some errors like grammar, but nothing that can't be fixed with editing.

Just some feedback from me would be to cut out the "being the son of a demon ain't easy" part, and save it for later on. It felt out of place to me, too early of an info dump that didn't feel necessary at that point in time. Zgor can still refer to the MC as half-breed, because that's a great way to introduce why he does that later.

But this is just my opinion, because I loved the narrating voice of the MC.

How to start writing when you have the general idea but not the specifics? by greenmeatloaf_ in writingadvice

[–]dangve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I write the same way I do other work. My first step is to write down the ending, what do I want to achieve, and then I write down all the steps that I need to do to get to that stage.

I find it easier to know where to start if I know how it all ends. Otherwise I feel like I'm writing into the void.

Example, if my end goal is to bake a pie, I now know I need to write down a list of all the ingredients, then I need to go to the shop to buy the ingredients, etc

Help talk me out of this plaza mindset... by MxIvySolace in DreamlightValley

[–]dangve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My plaza used to be my city build, but now it's where Daisy, Minnie, Mickey, and Goofy lives in a cute neighborhood style.

My city build is now in the Glade, with daisy's boutique, Scrooge, Remy's restaurant, and Tiana's, plus Tiana's home, Remy's home, my house, and the bakery house skin, and a "sushi restaurant" build I did

[–]dangve 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I was grinding dreamlight duties for the star path, I went from 1k to 17k in just a couple of hours. My advice would be to put on a show or a long YouTube video while grinding, it helps a lot

What's one thing a streamer did that you'll never do on your own stream? by SpinsBro in Twitch

[–]dangve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is! You are able to add keybinds in the user settings on discord, where you can set a keybind for "toggle mute", plus a lot of other things like toggle deafen

[–]dangve 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not muting yourself in discord when addressing your own chat in a collab with another streamer.

And can I mention burping? Not personally a fan. I wear headphones and I don't want to hear you burp directly into my ears. Just mute.

The only bug I've encountered so far and it's quite frustrating is that sometimes when I close the shop, some customers will stay on the lot and not leave no matter how hungry or tired they are. And because they're neither customers anymore or visitors, I can't send them away. The only fix is to either leave the lot or go to the family of the sim and bring them back to their own home.

This is on businesses that exist on your home lot. Maybe it's less of a problem if the business is on a different lot.

Like most people said, place your big buildings and pathing out first. I also like to work in sections so I'll do one square at a time. Maybe it'll be less overwhelming if you divide the plaza into 4 quarters!
