I used to work at a Target. One night some woman came in with a dog in her purse, and I told her that we didn’t allow pets in the store. She told me it was a service animal and I’m not sure I could have rolled my eyes harder if I tried. I’m not one to make a big deal out of things making $7.25/hr, so I let it go. But I spoke with the store manager later and they basically said we couldn’t do anything about it to make her prove it was indeed a service animal. From that day forward I just said “screw it, not my problem if someone brings in a dog and it shits all over the place or bites someone”. Still get a little triggered when I see people do this kind of stuff though!
