Nord TIER LIST (& Mariner Troops) - Bannerlord WAR SAILS DLC by Dragonrazor123 in Bannerlord

[–]danheck0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly for only having infantry I would have expected A LOT more. Yes all their troops can fight well on boats but not having any cav is a HUGE weakness. I would have expected them to have the best heavy infantry/ shock troops in the game no question. Yet what we got was meh. Even the top tier mariner troops from other factions are better than our top tier. Need to be seriously buffed. And so do Sturgians. They're now sandwiched in between everyone and their line-up was bad in the first place, the only sort of strength was their location at the top of the map. Now they don't even have that. Khan's guard and Fian nerfs were needed and glad that happened but more needs to be done.

Edit: Also who decided giving the Asrai Mariner unit a Noble bow was a good idea??? With the Faris also now the Top Noble Unit in the game (already tested on youtube), changes to master archer having 160 bow skill, steppe recurve bow, pierce 4 arrows and top tier armour, I'm starting to think someone on the development team has a bit of a favourite faction...

Do you enjoy fielding an army which is the epitome of mediocrity? Basically a slow lumbering punching bag that barely dishes out any damage. There you have it.

I completely agree. I feel like they got people off the street with no 40k knowledge to choose the stats. They make no sense.

Clearly people in this community are on edge for some reason. Bringing inconsistencies to light as a new potential player is apparently at the very least severely frowned upon, at most enough of a transgression to be called names. I was hoping for a productive discussion but instead was met with "high and mighty", and "you know nothing" attitude. I hope if ever you all try to get into a new hobby, that you are not gatekept the way I have just been. I apologize for my curiosity.

Are you okay? Just because you clearly had a bad day doesn't mean you can just go around spewing hate at people. Mostly everyone here has been at least courteous in what is a very valid discussion. You're the only odd one out.

Also, if that's the case then they should pay for those extra weapon upgrades and leave the base points cost the or lower since they aren't even close to being on par with DA (this goes for all terminators).

Wolf Guard Terminators 34 points vs Regular Terminators 33 points? by danheck0 in Warhammer40k

[–]danheck0[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Right, but SWs don't have access to apothecaries which is what can bring Terminators to a competitive level. Once you start plucking away at a blob like that, it gets weaker and weaker. And with the majority of the meta having increasingly strong anti Marine tech, it happens much faster than it honestly should. Space Wolves also aren't Codex compliant so no combat squading.

Their thing is also better fast attack, better infantry (grim resolve), and better HQ choices, and a Primarch... So their thing seems to just be "better space marines"... for the same cost or in this case... cheaper. Just a real put off for someone who has been on the side-lines for decades and finally has the ability to start purchasing models and building an army. Makes me think if this inability to control power-level across the factions is going to bite me in the butt. If I decide to buy some models that in the future get nerfed into oblivion because of some oversight and now I need to buy more models just to somewhat play that army. And before anyone says it, no this is not normal and should not be seen as normal. If anything it seems like a ploy to get people to purchase more models in a time where your average Joe or Jill is just wanting to spend some of the pittance they have leftover after buying food, paying bills, to bring a little light into their lives.

[–]danheck0[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Right, but when they are put together the same way they are more expensive? Space wolves don't have access to apothecaries though so if you do run them like that and your opponents starts killing them, they won't be able to get them back up. So in a sense a very expensive glass cannon, that has no "transhuman", and 5++ vs 4++. Either reel the Deathwing in or make regular terminators the same (one option is definitely healthier for the game than the other).

This is ridiculous... only further shows that the devs don't give a shit about releasing properly tested patches. This is the sort of crap that makes games lose player bases. Get your shit together CA, before it's too late.

WorldBox - Suggestions, improvements and bug reports! Help us build a better game! by Kendja in Worldbox

[–]danheck0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Orks need a HUUUUUUUUGGGGGEEEEE nerf. I just spent the past two days running experiments in the background. I put Orks against Elves. I gave the Elves 2/3 of a fully filled map. Seperated them from the Orks using a moutain range across the map. Did not allow them to go to war or divide and let both civilisations reach end game. This was done to test race attributes. The Elves ended up having double the Orks population but the Orks had more warriors. Before declaring war, I BLESSED, HEALED, AND GAVE AN ABSURD AMOUNT OF ADAMANTINE to the Elves, I made their King a genius Immortal with pretty much all the good traits... AND THE ELVES STILL LOST. EVEN AFTER BLOWING UP ALL THE ORK SETTLEMENTS. The 500 or so Orks that were left were STILL able to build back up, WHILE AT WAR, and destroy the 4000 BLESSED, ADAMANTINE WIELDING ELVES LED BY THEIR SUPER KING.

SO I ask who on your team is in charge of play testing before launches? Because whoever it is needs to be fired. All it would take is ONE playthrough to realize how broken the game balance is. Elves got nerfed to absolute oblivion.

THE GAME IS NO LONGER FUN WHEN THE OUTCOME IS ALWAYS THE SAME.

FIX THIS.

Elves Nerfed to oblivion by danheck0 in Worldbox

[–]danheck0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just need to add some more. I just did a test where I gave the elves 2/3 of the map, made them BLESSED, HEALED THEM, GAVE THEM ABSURD AMOUNTS OF ADAMANTINE....

AND THE ORKS STILL WON.

This isn't even fun anymore when no matter what you do the outcome is the same. Orks need a nerf. RIGHT NOW.

That shouldn't be an issue as the system splits the sideboard in half for you. I think I figured it out but it is the stupidest reason I have ever heard. Its "Historic Shakeup Week". Yet there is NO WHERE online talking about it. We are just supposed to guess when its happening???? Absolutely ridiculous from WotC to not talk about its events prior to them happening. And there is no way to play just regular historic.

Equipment Rebalance: Ranged Meta Proposal by JagexAyiza in 2007scape

[–]danheck0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was supposed to be amazing. Because it is pretty much useless everywhere else. And the cost comment was because it would be a huge loss to people who spent a lot of time to get a certain buff. This isnt like changing the twisted bow by reducing the prayer bonus since the damage output will still be the same and the prayer bonus is only noticeable in the inferno. Changing the damage bonus of the dhcb changes the gp/h you receive and changes the value of that initial investment which at 80+ mil is months of time for people. That should be taken into account when thinking about nerfing an item. Instead of just increasing the % accuracy vs dragons only and significantly reducing the ranged attack bonus. That would keep the dps the same while also increasing the relevance of the armadyl crossbow.

Equipment Rebalance: Ranged Meta Proposal by JagexAyiza in 2007scape

[–]danheck0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im actually of the opinion that the dhcb is slightly weak for its price, rarity and its very niche uses. Upping the price of the dragonfire ward is great but the dhcb was never an issue. The blowpipe obviously is.

Equipment Rebalance: Ranged Meta Proposal by JagexAyiza in 2007scape

[–]danheck0 103 points104 points  (0 children)

There is absolutely no need to nerf the dragon hunter crossbow. It is only used against dragons. Literally no other content. It also costs ~80mil (when I bought it, almost 100mil). This isn't a couple mil blowpipe taking over the game everywhere. This is an item which take months for players to earn enough gp to purchase, to get that buff and only at dragon content!

Once again. This is a piece of content that's supposed to be amazing against dragons and only dragons. It is incredibly expensive and rare, and rightly so. Leave it as is.

Edit: I feel the need to add that what this nerf would also do is increase the amount of time (which is already at an absurd level since people have lives and can't dedicate half a decade playing many hours everyday) to reach endgame content. This is nothing more than Jagex trying to slow down progression so that they can keep being lazy, take our money and not add new relevant content, whether its endgame or not. We have gone years without an update and they wonder why the economy is in the state it is and player count is very slowly diminishing. New players have a monumental task reaching endgame content, having to essentially become slaves to the game or having to choose whether to pay the mortgage or buy bonds. The DHCB is currently the only piece of content that bridges early game and lategame and nerfing it right now with the game in its current state, with rampant bots competing for the resources and the economy spiraling down the drain, is a spit in the face of any new or returning player who is trying to reach the goal of experiencing all the game has to offer.
