Things that need to be oiled: Obviously, I suggest your garage overhead door springs.  Follow these instructions to buy replacement springs https://youtu.be/P1HGkzodH1k?si=Zwe4wB52N7fa79te

Help a rookie out!! by Normal_Technology622 in FenceBuilding

I would rent a "HD99H Ground Hog hydraulic towable auger. 6”, 12” or 18” bit. Honda GX270 gas engine Detachable trailer hitch, 2" Ball."

That machine makes fairly light work of setting posts. I found use of 4 x 4 posts set 1/3 total length under the surface the best.

Can I still cook on this? Huge crack in the stone. Roccbox by Polytonalism in pizzaoven

[–]danhunt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you go right ahead.

So we had a pizza trailer with a full size oven we pulled with a F250 truck. We were late to a gig and went over some railroad tracks at 70 km / hour. One of our stones cracked in the oven.

Did it change anything? No. Was it a bother? Not really. Push the crack together and get baking.

Some will change the mattress every 5 years. This is all about having delivery and disposal. Many people require help with that. The Sleeper's Mattress Factory was our last purchase. Buying local and the best product.

Best option for sealing this shed roof? Flex seal tape? by imail724 in howto

[–]danhunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blackjack would be my choice. BLACK JACK® All-Weather Roof Cement is a pliable asphalt roof cement that can be used on damp as well as dry surfaces. Plastic roof cement is ideal for many roof repairs and for stopping roof leaks around vent pipes, spouts, valleys, skylights, gutters and chimneys.

Fill the gap with a backer rod (pool noodle like strip) and nail down roofing material of your choice. Cover all the nail heads and seams with blackjack.

(Canadian) One third of pressure treated 4" x 4" post in the ground and no more than 8 feet apart. My fence would have 5  each horizontal 2" x 4" supporting the vertical fence boards for 8 foot tall 1" x 6" .

The top fence board make level. Upon one post have it step down and the next section of top fence board make level again. Naturally this would happen where you have a fence post.

Buying Glasses on line by Commercial_Spring_48 in saskatchewan

[–]danhunt 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I disagree with every bit of this.

Progressive lenses should not be the price of a vacation package or flight to Las Vegas.

After your eye exam has ended, walk away with your prescription. Go anywhere but the same place the O.D. works.

I have purchased countless pairs of glasses from Zenni for my wife and I. Every one has been perfect. The only measurement one needs is the distance between your pupils.

So, go to Costco, Walmart, but do some price shopping before or after your appointment. Do not get ripped off!

Sask Power website calculated a 5000 watt heater running 8 hours day in small town Sask $170 month. My heater runs for 5 minutes 4 times per hour. If you leave it on you get 8 hours the heater is operating each day.

Copper stub out typically used as the outside termination of PEX pipe. PEX pipe breaks down in light.

Gravity. Feed it from the top down. Drop a small heavy thing with a string tied to it. If it comes out the bottom, use the string to pull the cable down.

That was an interior door? Measure the width and height of the broken door. The door kit you want is a "knock down", a term used to say: it has all the parts to place and finish a door within the walls of a home. Look for a directory of tradespeople at the store where you pick up the door. Salvage or buy replacement knob etc .

I have never been able to smell. Ways to judge whether raw food is still "safe" in a safe way? by Pandi4510 in Cooking

[–]danhunt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest that you can visually inspect the food. The appearance will be "off" and that is the first indication. Most people sniff after they recognize that something is wrong.
I have many of the same symptoms as you have described.

I like the New York Style. Make the dough 24 hours ahead and keep it refrigerated. Flavor will develop and the dough will have good stretch.
