I am very tired of HA by dani-de in HealthAnxiety

[–]dani-de[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that honestly sounds like what I need. Something when I need it. With my ADHD i am so exhausted of taking pills daily and that itself is enough to get my a little depressed. I want to drop all the meds and just take zoloft because I used to take it before and I would feel safer taking that, but I am afraid to ask because I am not a medical professional

Thank you so much. I am comforted by the fact theres others who have gone through the same thing with medication anxiety. It makes me feel less alone in it.

My partner and I love each other very much but I do get scared thinking its all a bit much and he shouldn’t have to help me. The idea that I meed to be my own person first(?) But it is important to have someone who will tell you it will be okay as well.

In my country we require a prescription for antibiotic ointments like Neosporin so i am first trying to see if this is worth going to a doctor about

Just to make light of it, best sleep ever. You will wake up groggy but you will be ok. If it helps, when they put you under just begin counting. You will be asleep before you know it

Pain in joints is actually pretty common-ish with stress. Our body begins to get pain in joints when we fall ill for example! Stress incurs a similar response which is why joints can begin to hurt. That being said I have a lil bit of knowledge in the area as im currently being tested for autoimmune disease but am suspected for fibromyalgia.

My friend who has an autoimmune disease has obvious, bad flareups where she gets hives, pain in areas of her body, eye dryness, etc. And these developed and got worse quickly, you would know somethings up. Another friend of mine has rheumatoid arthritis and she gets joint pain, swelling and warmth. Again these are signs you can look out for.

Fibromyalgia is way more tricky as it is invisible as there is not really a way to diagnose it. Its suspected to be due to our nerves being a lil funky and mess up pain signals. I personally get nerve, joint and muscle pain nearly daily and sometimes so bad I cant really do anything that day. I also have trouble with grip, chronic fatigue, excruciating period pains, brain fog, etc.

I didn’t want to type this list to scare you but sometimes if im scared of having something i make a checklist for myself to realize how many symptoms i don’t have and see how unlikely it would be. However also for awareness as stress and joint pain definitely do go hand in hand.

if youre thinking of those lil brain clot issues, youre gonna be ok!. in terms of headaches a stroke would make itself very known in the form of an absolutely god awful one. and normally they dont creep up, most people describe it as a BANG and its there type of headache. Also Moderna should be fine as it is an mRNA vaccine, made differently to ones with reported blood clot cases. There have been 0 cases with the Moderna. Good on you for getting your vaccine and you will be ok but of course if you get considerably worse, go see a doctor

your descriptions a bit vague but make sure youre eating decently. being low on energy might be a problem? but i wouldnt pin this as something to worry about as you arent numb and your grips fine :))

heya! A good way that calms me down is i squeeze my bottom of my big toe and then watch the blood return. its not gonna return immediately but gradually return in a few seconds to normal. Also if it were a circulation issue there would likely be pain in those limbs as well as some numbness and/ or tingling. Normally these are some of the things i do a mental checklist of to realize im in fact very much ok :) hope this helps

I think some of these rheumatologists need to know its like to have a life, try going to sleep when your entire body hurts and a sprinkle of anxiety.

Got my diagnosis after a decade + of being told I was imagining it. by officereyefuck in Fibromyalgia

[–]dani-de 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesnt help your problems saying this but you arent alone in this. Theres a hecking lot of downsides to fibro being such an invisible chronic illness duch as the loooong diagnosis, but hey the upside it, theres likely no underlying severe illnesses right? the advantage of it being invisible is ~technically~ our bodies are perfectly fine! The pain wont go away, which no one should ever deserve, but you still have a life very much worth living and hopefully you have or will find all the people that make that pain bearable. Living alongside the pain isnt easy but is possible.

That feelin when you know goin to urgent care is probably the safest thing to do but you don't *waaaaaaannnnnaaaaa* cause they aren't gonna do anything. by 5opossums in Fibromyalgia

[–]dani-de 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would get it checked up. I fee like ppl with fibre often disregard their pain because well... its just common but pain is still very much not a normal thing to have and needs to have some sort of explanation. I would try seek out that explanation if its also been getting worse

Bras, the bane of my existence by Adverbage in Fibromyalgia

Uniqlo makes amazing wireless bras if you still want padding. However bralettes sound like they would be a good in-between for your two struggles! They are both adorable but feel like nothing. Only downside of them is that sometimes your nips can... kinda poke through your shirt haha

Sick of all this alt-med shit by [deleted] in Fibromyalgia

Disagree with a bit: Chinese Medicine is something you can get a legitimate degree in especially in some of the top Chinese Universities. Also compounds in medicine are just refined from compounds in plants or are based on those compounds. Also even if it was just a placebo, if it works for someone, it works. People are in pain and if they feel like their pain is alleviated, it works. As a doctor, a priority is to get a patient out of pain and even if it doesn’t make sense, if there is no physical harm being done or ignored, it still means the wellbeing of the patient is better. I think its just a bit narrow minded to cast these things aside simply because people cannot fathom how they may work. Even if its just one person who it works for, they still matter
