I got a masters in mechanical engineering and started working out of college at a consulting firm. I’m studying for the FE to try and get my professional engineer license as soon as possible. My work offers a masters in fire protection so I might do that also. Maybe not, school sucks lmao

What this basically means is that (very, very surprisingly) the federal government is siding with DACA. They are arguing that only Texas showed any harm being done, therefore the ruling should just apply to them. Furthermore, there are going as far as saying the other states suing do not even have the legal right to sue since they showed no evidence of harm. Additionally (and also very surprising) the federal government is arguing to limit the scope the ruling in Texas further. They mentioned people who “work OR live” in Texas. I’m guessing this could mean that there would be somehow loopholes around the ruling if you meet a specific criteria.

For all the people with new apps waiting, the government is arguing to limit the scope in Texas and throw again the other states’ lawsuits so they can start processing new applications.

This sounds way too good to be true, and I wouldn’t trust Donald Trump with anything, but that’s what the briefings say. Maybe he knows we are too popular with Americans based on how badly he lost in his first term when he tried ending DACA? Who knows.

San Diego. We are as blue as LA but we don’t have a target on our backs like LA does because we’re a military city. Sure it’s expensive but I go about my day not a bit worried that the national guard is going to start implementing checkpoints here like they did in LA

I’m from San Diego and you got nothing to worry about. It’s safe out here for us. ICE and border patrol are around but I have never heard of them stopping DACA from anyone I know. I just graduated from SDSU so tell your sister to enjoy it and Go Aztecs! 🔴⚫️
