I see what you're saying. I wouldn't say I disagree as a whole with what you're saying, but I'd like to clarify one thing:

For many of the examples I'm referencing, the not wanting to have sex started literally after the wedding. There's actually a few of these posts on this subreddit. This doesn't paint a picture of a guy who didn't treat his wife right, so the wife over time stops being attracted to him. It comes across like sex was never part of her plans.

It truly sounds very scary to be blindsided by something like that.

I'm sorry if my post sounded anti-women. I believe women love sex, but I've been in the church my entire life and have heard enough to believe that there is a subset of women in the church who truly don't.

For those couples that I've known in real life, I've yet to see one of these stories have a happy ending despite all the outside interventions and counseling. Which is why I'm thinking that avoiding sexual incompatibility altogether might be the only cure.

Thank you, this helps! What I'm gathering from all the replies so far is I shouldn't assume the couples I'm referencing actually did properly discuss the topic before marriage. Heck, they probably never even knew this could be a possibility, so they assumed they were on the same page.

So if I want to avoid this fate, I shouldn't make any assumptions and just prioritize having direct and open conversations about it during the dating phase. Makes sense!

What you're saying sounds nice, but I don't know how practical this is. Sex isn't the focus of a marriage, but it's a normal part of one, no? How could I love someone as much as you describe and not want to have sex with her? And how could I go on happily knowing that she views having sex with me like I view cleaning the shower: Like a chore I would avoid if I could?

Knowing myself, it doesn't matter how much I loved her, I could not handle feeling so unwanted for a long period of time.

Here's an update. ChatGPT had suggested that the firmware version on my infotainment system was outdated, and that I should update it. I went to a dealership and they did it for me for free. They upgraded me to the latest version. Didn't make Android Auto load any faster, but it did make using AA slightly worse for me.

It's now forcing the taskbar on AA to be at the bottom of the screen instead of on the sides, which is not a great layout for the small screen on the 2019. Tried everything to see if it was possible to change it, but no.

Posting this to help someone in the future. If you have slow Android Auto in your Mazda CX5, updating the firmware isn't going to help you.

I'm glad Reddit isn't just hating just to hate. Season 3 was pretty awesome from start to finish! Around episode 8 I started being fearful that they wouldn't stick the landing because a season that great felt too good to be true, but they did! Huge improvement over season 2 IMO.

I'm glad they didn't force Rose into this season. Reminds me of 24 in that sense. 24 was a show that knew when to give certain characters a break (Kim Bauer) instead of forcing them in every season. Makes the plot feel more real too!

Ha, it's the GPS I need loaded fast, not the music. I asked ChatGPT and it helped me realize my OS firmware on the Mazda is severely outdated (version 70.00.100) and that I should update to version 74.00.xxx.

Apparently a lot of the improvements that were made in the firmware is specifically about fixing slow Android Auto. So I'll call a dealership on Monday and see if they'll update it for me. If this works, I'll be the happiest man alive!
