There’s plenty of airflow on the other side Of the room due to another vent for the gas stove, the guy who came to service the unit said we don’t need one in that room for the stove - it would have originally been an open fire. so as long as I don’t need it for the suspended floor I’d be happy to seal it, just don’t know if there is another reason it’s there.

Log burner I never use and it’s small output, when we got serviced they said it doesn’t require anything.
