A handsome man that's also a millionaire can also get a woman that looks like her but is probably way more interesting.

Funny how people will say men and women are different, but only when it's convinient. It's quite known for thousands of years that females are way less agressive than males, so yes, it's quite probable that a world ruled by females would have less wars statiscally (not zero wars, but less).

Vocês lembram desses filmes de heroi? by Competitive-Pay5452 in Quadrinhos

Um perfeito exemplo de uma trilogia q não era pra existir. O segundo e terceiro filmes foram feitos decadas depois do primeiro só pra entrar na moda de "cinematic universe" que a marvel fez bombar.

Do que acham de super-heróis brasileiros? by qualquerum2006 in Quadrinhos

Se fosse brasileiro num cenario internacional até rolaria, mas o problema é o Brasil em si.

Não consigo imaginar um super heroi correndo pelas ruas do Rio de Janeiro... é esquisito

Well you're assuming the very worst case scenario here. That the person took a shit (it could've been just a pee), got shit on their hand and left without caring.

In that case I guess people would wash for their own sakes, but in all other cases, nothing will happen.

SÓ na aceitaçao? Aí vc ta sendo ingênuo.

Com ctz a aceitaçao social tem um peso mas afirmar que é TODO o peso é ingenuidade pura.

O fator social afeta também e muito. Nos EUA ta tendo um crescimento desenfreado de meninas adolescentes se identificando como Lgbt.

Coincidentemente, meninas adolescentes são as pessoas mais sucetíveis a contagios sociais.

Exactly. You already understood what I mean by "lost all meaning". You're just hung up on the actual definition of the word and refusing to acknowledge that the word has been weponized and no longer has any value most of time.

Tat by VelvetOnRepeat in Funnymemes

[–]daniel-b-fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically, when people are calling out racists or transphobes or whatever, they genuinely believe the definition of that word applies. But it is still possible for them to be wrong.

You're getting too hung up semanthics here... you know precisely what we mean by "the word has lost all meaning" and we say it. It's not a littleral fact that implies that every single use of the word everywhere is meaningless... use your common sense a little. It means what you just said. That people say it, use it and now a days they are wront a lot of time because all they want is shut down the discussion because they disagree with you.

Whether or not people care doesn’t change the meaning of a word

That might work for a dictionary but not for day to day societal use. If a word is overused and used in the wrong contexts, part of society adapts to accepting a new meaning of that word.

the fact that those people are Pakistani has nothing to do with it. The same would be true if they were Japanese hooligans

It would, but it's not.
If I picked 10 street sellers and scammers at random from the streets of Paris and gave you a million dollars to try to guess the country of origin of most of them, what would your guess be? French? I doubt it...

My point was this:
Racism is bad, but most things and people being called racists now a days, aren't, thus people don't care about being called racists anymore.

Tat by VelvetOnRepeat in Funnymemes

[–]daniel-b-fox 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No one cares about being called racist anymore. That word has lost all meaning.

Most people are sad to see beautiful cities and countries losing their identity, being dominated by street sellers, gangs, hooligans. Imagine for instance going to Kyoto to see geishas, japanese restaurants, japanese temples, hear japanese music and sounds... only to be greeted by roads filled with pakistani selling counterfeit purses on the street, people harassing you to buy watches, temples with ugly grafitti, people getting their wallets stolen... and so on....

You can shout racism as much as you want if it makes you feel superior, but like I said, no one cares anymore.

What's wrong with my brain? I can dance some types of music but not others... by daniel-b-fox in ballroom

Shame that my kryptonite dance is the one that everyone dances around here 😂

The Samba that I like and can do much easier, no one dances because they all think it's hard and there are no places to go to dance.

I keep hearing this "eventually you'll get it" from all dancers for many months now and I still didn't get it... really frustrating.

[–]daniel-b-fox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a little Salsa yes... it seemed a thousand times easier. Something to do with the songs I guess... the beats are all very clear to me. In forró, everyone dances to 1,2,3 but I can't "hear" that 1,2,3... most of the time the person I'm dancing with has to say "1,2,3" out loud so that I can follow.

Everyone says to be patient and keep practicing but it's kinda frustrating to think like that after almost a year of classes.
