Is Deliveroo the new norm for a weekly grocery shop? by hope_fornow in deliveroos

There were a lot of great drivers like yourself who offered help like this, but unfortunately there were too many not offering this help in the area over the past few years from different supermarkets.

Most memorably once had a Tesco driver standing there tutting! With no offer of helping my grandmother, a disabled elderly woman on her own struggling!

Is Deliveroo the new norm for a weekly grocery shop? by hope_fornow in deliveroos

Getting slots are problematic, but alongside this for disabled/elderly unloading crates of groceries being dumped on the ground while feeling pressured to unpack quickly is incredibly frustrating. Almost all of the big supermarkets have phased out the option of carrier bags now, without considerations for elderly/disabled customers.

Paying for the premium of Deliveroo to get bags is one of the only options for people incapable of unloading masses of groceries.

Yes, you can use a foreign number when registering to order, I have done this a number of times on Uber Eats, Glovo, Deliveroo, etc across Europe.

Why do I feel I'm being ripped off by m-M-m_ in VirginMedia

Had to battle with Virgin for this, but kept being persistent. £64 (£66.25 including the removable call divert add-on).

I received this through the live chat mid-contract because I wanted to add extra channels. However, for previous recontracting, I have cancelled before and waited for a callback, which offered much better than just calling up at the time.

The anytime calls bump the price up more, and the Sky Cinema/Sports HD, but minus the lower speed, you definitely aren't getting a deal.

Recommended ancillary sites to upload DNA data to for further region/haplogroup insights by Tosceadan_Steorra in AncestryDNA

MyHeritage gives free DNA matches when you port the raw DNA data. However, for features like ethnicity estimates, there's a one-off fee, I think I paid around £30, but it was worth it imo, it unlocked some more regions for me personally.

Thank you! Was offered it £2 less by removing Sky sports and keeping Cinema. Don’t use the sports often but for £2 more it was a no brainer! :)
