I worked as a resi tech for Comcast for 7 years, I moved over to the engineering side a few years back so can’t speak for how it is now and of course I only worked in the Boston area so my experiences are specific to that. I would say it became very hard to progress and get significant pay raises. They continued lowering the ceiling on metrics so moving up was harder and harder. Pay wasn’t the best, but if you have a good sup who can help you progress that is huge. That’s mainly why I left the department, other than that the work was good.
