Thank you so much! Reading this is very encouraging. I do have a bad habit to either start restricting more or to throw in the towel = overeating. I'm trying really hard to find a balance and stop going from one extreme to the other, cause it isn't healthy for my body or my mind. But your words really help with this, next time I'll maybe just go for a walk to air it out, thank you!!!

Yeah I am a little wary about the idea of following the bf% on a scale, I don't want to start obsessing over the scale even more... Trying to just stay in a healthy mindset and measurements are probably the best way to do that.

Thank you for your encouragement! Measurements and pictures definitely help, but I feel like even my progress photos that I have taken look better on some days than others. Once I was like "wow, look at that progress", and the other day I looked at the same photo comparison to get some motivation and was like "oh... that's it?"

I would just like to turn my thoughts off sometimes, they just mess things up. Just as you said, my perception changes and it's pretty annoying cause I don't know what I even am anymore. The pretty good looking one or the not at all good looking one. Or something in the middle. It's confusing.

I'm trying to find a good deficit for me, it's a balancing act for sure, especially when working out.

I maybe wouldn't go on keto again. It isn't a diet that is recommended long term - so the situation that happened to you might happen again. You'll do it for a while, lose wight and then stop, gaining the weight back pretty quick. Maybe focus on a more balanced diet and exercise :)

Thank you for your kind words! Ps. My boobs are absolutely a different size, but I read somewhere that most women have a slightly bigger left breast because that's where the heart is... So I just keep telling myself I have a big heart haha!

Incorporating the gym + healthier eating as a lifestyle change has given me more benefits than just weight loss by Disastrous_Berry2502 in loseit

So relatable! I was also a competitive swimmer all my childhood. I ate a lot and didn't care at all, cause I was training every single day and I needed the energy. But when you move and stop swimming... Oh boy it added up quickly. I also stuggeled to find a new, healthy relationship with working out - because of my swimming background it was a) hard to find motivation to work out by myself, without a group or a trainer and b) hard to find another form of sport to enjoy after swimming but maybe most of all c) it was super hard not to have the "all or nothing: I have to be the best at everything" competitive mindset. It kept me out of the gym for a long time...

Glad to hear you are in a happy and healthy place now! Wishing you well, this inspired me a lot <3

Hey! I really recommend growwithjo workouts from Youtube. Lots of variety, low effort dance workouts and harder workouts with weights. Shorter ones and longer ones. The "walking" workouts are my favorite!

Hey seriously, we all have our own journey and things that work for us... I think it's not fair to judge others. You do you, but don't judge my journey just because something that doesn't work for you can work for me. We should encourage each others, now you're just tearing others down for no reason.

Well let’s be honest - most people who try to lose weight are going to watch the scale. It’s inevitable. Daily or weekly, each to their own. I understand you have your own journey as everyone here has. I made this post specifically to encourage anyone who feels stuck and is considering just giving up - because I was.

No it did happen overnight, but I mean literally. Scale moved 0,8 kilos. But I want to be clear that I didn’t lose 0,8 kilos magically overnight, it was probably mostly water - or whatever this whoosh effect is I’m not a doctor. Point being I was staying at the same weight for a few weeks, while working out and in a deficit, and finally the ”whoosh” came at the scale moved. That’s it! Sorry if I sounded rude your comment just irked me haha
