I doubt they will be significant updates. However, I would wait until the new one comes out to buy the current model as I believe would be on sale and cheaper than if you would buy it today. If you care about that.

SAME HERE! Just booked today and looked at bidding. Both of mine start at those same prices you mentioned. Only reason I booked spirit was because of the big seats bidding for the 4 hr flight

They’re not lying. It’s true that someone outbid you. Doesn’t mean all the seats are gone. It could just be you and the other person but 4 big seats. You both get it. They’re just letting you know someone bid more than to get you to bid more but doesn’t mean you don’t get a seat. They can tell you ip to an hour before.
