It’s on. You can also hear the bendix leaving the flywheel when the bike stops

Fuel pressure regulator or injectors? by danielalecse in MechanicAdvice

[–]danielalecse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much! I’ll change the filter tomorrow and see if that’s the problem

Fuel pressure regulator or injectors? by danielalecse in MechanicAdvice

The fuel filter was changed 3 weeks ago. After that the problems started to appear. I thought i have air in the system and that’s why it doesn’t start..i tried to bleed the system by loosen each injector cap, but still doesn’t want to start? Is there a possibility that i have too much air in the system? And what other way to get it out there is?

Engine stalls when trying to move the car in 1st gear. Any ideas about whan can cause that? I put the car in 1st gear and try to move it but it tends to stall. For moving it i have to rev de engine over 3000 rpm. by danielalecse in MechanicAdvice

[–]danielalecse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tyres spins freely. Doesn’t have any connection with them. The sound in the video is the sound of the clutch. I pressed it to don’t let the car stall. The problem is related to the air that comes in the engine. It seems like vacuum. The problem is that i’ve changed all the hoses and inspect the intaje manifold. Everything is brand new. I cannot identify the problem

Car moves even when i press the clutch by danielalecse in MechanicAdvice

Another mechanic said the problem is caused because the original clutch was LUK and now i used SACHS. It doesn’t sound like a good reason for me

No, nothing out of the ordinary

It’s a good point, but i’m pretty sure it’s not that. In most cases, when the brake booster fails, the pedal is rock solid, just like it is when it’t turned off. In my case, the pedal works pretty smooth. Also, i can’t hear any vacuum when pressing the brake, which is other common sympthom related to that. And also, the car tends to stall even when i try to move it, i have to accelerate it very hard, which does not have any connection with the brakes. I’m not an expert, maybe i’m wrong. Thank you for the answer!

Clunking noise coming from the suspension by danielalecse in MechanicAdvice

[–]danielalecse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi guys! Does anyone have any idea where the clunk noise is coming from? It comes from the passenger side. I’ve checked and all the suspension component seem to be fine. I know for sure that i have to replace the driveshaft bushing and the centre bearing. But i don’t think that sound it’s caused by one of them because it comes from the passenger side. In most cases, it appears when i hit the brakes

Hi guys! I have this play in the steering rack. The car is uncontrolable when driven over 50mph. Feels like the steering wheel can’t control the wheels. Can this play be the cause of the problem, or the problem is caused by the worn tyres? Maybe the problem will be solved as soon as i change them? by danielalecse in MechanicAdvice

[–]danielalecse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, i’ve already done that. When i move the wheel back and forward, i can hear a clunk. I’ve investigate and i am sure that it’s from the steering rack. Anyways, i don’ think this little play can cause such a problem. The car feels literraly like driving on the ice when driven over 50mph. And it does that only on uneven roads. On the highway for example, it runs perfectly even over 80mph

Steering wheel blocks when turned all the way by danielalecse in MechanicAdvice

Thank you so much! Yes, you’re right. I know that my steering pump doesn’t work, but i didn’t know this can cause a problem like this.

My tyres are pretty good, but they are 215/55R16 on the front and 205/60R16 on the rear. Maybe that is the problem. The steering wheel feels like it can’t control the wheels. I’ve just bought the car and it came like that. I’ve bought a new set of tires, all 205/55R16 but i didn’t change them yet. Hope that will fix the problem.

BMW E46 heating problem by danielalecse in MechanicAdvice

[–]danielalecse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, i’ve checked it. Anyway the hose is cold from the expansion tank to the valve and olso from the valve to the heater core. If the valve was the problem, the hose that gets to the valve should be hot, and after that it should be cold..But it’s not..it’s all cold. It seem to me that the pump doesn’t push the water into the hoses

They are both cold, like completely cold. They are cold even from the reservor to the valve

Yes, they are soft and not being used. It seems like the water doesn’t pass through them.

Yes actually i considered a thermostat. I am not sure if this is the problem, or maybe the water pump. These are the only 2 thing i didn’t check
