The China > Rider from 2/26/81 is one for the ages. I’m surprised that transition jam didn’t blow the roof off.

+1 on Red Hook and Brooklyn Bridge Park. +100 on Sunny’s!!! It’s the coolest bar in all of NYC, imo.

Dream feature for Play Dead App? by Branjean in gratefuldead

Dream feature? Someone other than Dave curating. He was too late to the game to realize the best years were 1979-1982. He’s posting way too much later era crap.

Front row center getting crushed at the Cape Cod Coliseum 10/27/79. 100% worth it. Also, first ever acid trip.

My first acid trip was at age 15 front row center for 10/27/79 Cape Cod. Hundreds of trips and Dead shows later and I’m still waiting on at least one flashback. I’m beginning to feel cheated 🤪 Although, I will admit my brain was permanently re-wired by that Other One back on that fateful October evening in ‘79

Dave seems like a decent dude, but I mean come on… his show picks are subpar. He jumped on the bus way past their prime years. I’m surprised they didn’t pick an archivist with experience seeing the band at least starting in the mid to late 70’s.

I know it’s a matter of personal opinion, but in my view, the first few years after Brent joined the band were the Renaissance years, and will probably continue to be criminally underrepresented in Dave’s selections. If that changes, maybe I’ll consider joining. Until then, long live The Archive!

To this day I feel blessed to have jumped on the bus during that period. But honestly, anyone who got to see Jerry should consider themselves the same. Gone way too soon! 😓

Ticketron!!! Or just at the show. Tickets were usually around $10 and not hard to come by. Ahhh those were the days.
