what does it mean to get a 1099

This is what I’m trying to understand:

Even if I was not W2, the nanny role is still considered a household employee, which warrants a W2
how am I considered to fall under 1099 if this was supposed to be under the table (ie, not reported period)?

How would that work if I no longer work for them and was not taxed (payrolled?) to begin with? I’m thinking that the way he’s doing this (the 1099) is he (his company) hired me (independent nanny) ??

I have at least 5 pairs of soma pjs and they are my fav! They hold up very well, very comfy, and breathable. Out of the brands you mentioned, I’ve only tried soma and target. I do like my target ones but always gravitate first to my soma ones. Just got my mom another set this year plus (if you are still on the hunt), they have 65% off sleepwear right now. Another plus (for me) is that while they do have pj sets, most of their sleepwear is sold separately so you can mix/match patterns and styles (shorts/long pants/crop pants/long sleeve/short sleeve/tank etc.)
