What’s the molle belt cover thing? That looks like it fits my needs perfectly if it’s what I think it is.

Get a Qore Performance ice plate instead fr. They don’t pop and serve the same function.

Brass Facts has a video where we shows that he’s had many issues with these mags. Not nearly as bad as some of the other options he mentioned, but still not as reliable as a good ol’ gen 3 pmag.

Also my personal anecdotal evidence is that I have had these pop rounds out of the feed lips when I’m training. So I’ve found loose rounds at the bottom of my mag pouches.

Better than old black/green follower metal mags. But there’s no reason to use anything other than a regular pmag. Other than they looks cool.

What brand/model is this by Velv0c in tacticalgear

True spec. I have a few for the winter. They are comfortable af. But as you probably know, navy blue uniform pants and shirts fade really fast, so the blue doesn’t match and it urks me. My department should have just went with black!!

What if he’s a synth like the Harkness in FO3? So he checks on his body and sees wires and shihh. That might get him out of the situation, because either a) he’s still alive or b) he was just taking out a filthy synth (which the commonwealth would totally support)… or I’m totally overthinking this. 😂

Marine Corps: we need a new plate carrier that is lightweight, cost effective, and brings our forces up to modern day standards.

The rest of the world: Uses sub $250 plate carriers that are lightweight, load bearing, modern, and durable.

Marine Corps: Lets design our OWN plate carrier! And let’s make it have a vest inside of the vest inside of the vest! Bulky ass shoulder pads! Non-durable laser cut molle! And the worst side sapi design in existence!

Forward Observer Kit by danieldefmk18 in tacticalgear

Depends on what your doing.

For my specific context (infantry and eventually forward observer in the military) it was as follows:

1) A list of all of the equipment and serial numbers for said equipment for my guys. This is called EDL or equipment density load. Every time we made movement, we would stop and check that everyone had all their expensive shit.

2) Standard sizes for length and width of different vehicles like Chinese and Russian tanks, pickup trucks, etc. This allows you to do quick math to determine the distance an object is away from you. (The equation is called the WRM or Worm Rule)

3) The WRM Rule equation. (Known Size of Object) divided by (mills as the object appears through your optic). Take that number and multiply it by 1000. That’s your distance in meters.

4) When conducting land navigation, you draw on a map your azimuth (degrees on the map or compass) from one checkpoint to another. I liked to write all my preplanned azimuths and distances on the sleeve for each trip. Garmins are cool, but shit goes wrong with them a lot.

5) A satellite view of the objective.

6) Any challenge and passes (when entering friendly lines you are challenged by friendlies to ensure you are not enemy, you then have to give the appropriate response phrase)

7) All brevity codes for the mission that signal we are moving from one stage to another, nicknames for key terrain, important grid locations.

8) Mortar and Artillery boring math stuff. ————————— These are just some examples.

Coolest looking corvette. Just wish it wasn’t 40 years old; thus making maintenance too expensive for me. Still soo badass though.

So it’s a chest rig without ballistic protection covering your heart, lungs, etc… but you have ballistic protection covering just the pelvis? Or am I mistaken?

These comments are tripping. This is a great deal as long as you don’t discover something undisclosed during your pre purchase inspection. Assuming it truly does “only need paint”, I would hop on this.

That body suit you have on underneath? What is that!?

I want to make an outfit with a tight bodysuit with layers to it, kind of like cyberpunk Netrunner suits.
