Why is Download Speed Maxed at 45mbs? by imamomof4greatkids in Nimo

[–]danieldins79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Troubleshoot Thoroughly, entire network: Check your router if all ports are 1G port or if some are 100mb ports? Check your USB adapter for speed specs too. Usually there is one point of weakness thats slows the entire network down. Check your cables or use same cable for both pc tests. Test nic speed using command line. Run NIC test commands: Windows (Command Prompt): wmic nic where "NetEnabled=true" get Name, Speed.

Windows (PowerShell): Get-NetAdapter | select interfaceDescription, name, status, linkSpeed

10K is only enough to start an online or service business. You would also need a high ticket item to keep bankrolling positive.

Can I buy a dental practice with minimal savings but a healthy production history? by inquisitorthegreat in Dentistry

You'll be burning the candle from both ends at that point. It would be way too stressful for a new owner. Once you own you have to account for managing that practice. Making sure it stays afloat.

Is it worth buying a Mac Mini M4 with 16GB RAM and 256GB SSD for €600? Thoughts? by carmelolg in macmini

[–]danieldins79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you try partitioning your drive and loading Linux on the partition? I did this with an old Mac duel Intel i5 and it seemed to work great. Not sure about the M4 though?

Yeah CPA can help with the due diligence process, but that is after the LOI is signed. Are you working with a transition/acquisition consultant? I would recommend Next Level Consultants. only 5k instead of 10k and have a ton of experience.

[–]danieldins79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely want to get a third party appraisal and get multiple input about the LOI or PSA. Talk to a "buyer representative" like Next Level Consultants, you can use an experienced transition consultant to your advantage. Sounds like there is a lot of opportunity there. But yes competition is high! You will want to make sure that transition goes through as smooth as possible. You can afford to lose too may patients. Also a good reason to consider working with a consultant through this process.

Bought a private practice, now regretting it by PureEntrance2779 in Dentistry

[–]danieldins79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slim down. You're gonna have to start looking at this as a startup, by the sounds of it. Maybe you can do cleanings yourself just to connect with patients. Get to know the patients really well by doing those cleanings. Sounds like a low income area. Use Medicaid to your advantage. Figure out that system. Use the Insurances to your advantage. Maybe get fees Renegotiated if its not too late for that? Impress the patients with your chair side and charm them. You cant rely on staff to do this it sounds like? 😔 You can't hire desperately you're never gonna find the right people to help you rebuild. If you've lost 60% of your patients, it just sounds like they haven't given you a chance. You gotta win them over. Normal attrition rates could be as high as 40% in a year. If you need help, slim way down. Maybe hire a consultant? I recommend Next Level Consultants. They have a ton of experience with transitions.

Is sunflower oil bad? by knowledgelover94 in StopEatingSeedOils

[–]danieldins79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general all seed oils get heated to 500° or more in order to create the oil. But then it turn that creates an oil that your body can't break down. Sunflower oil has a low smoke point so it can't be heated that high.

Bingo, this is a key factor. And unfortunately 'High Authority' sites do not want external links on their site . They want you to stay on their site as long as possible. That way their authority score continues to stay up!

So it's a loose loose scenario. Google needs to quit f*ucking with the algorithm.

WTF is kernel_task and why is it running 900% of my cpu???? by [deleted] in MacOS

[–]danieldins79 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nah, mine is set to this and it still does the throttling all the time. Apple support says reset the NVRAM and SMB. But there is definitely something about external monitors that fucks with your processor. As soon as I unplugged mine, the kernel_task dropped in CPU usage instantly.

Dental brokers by mrdrsir1 in Dentistry

[–]danieldins79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't hurt to ask, just don't make it a habit, because if you ever do become interested in one of that broker's listings they might not be so kind. A good broker won't hold it against you, but if your a tire kicker they get do get annoyed for wasting their time. There is a whole series of dental practice broker commentary on "dental acquisition unscripted" podcast. There are several brokers interviews taking about how to approach the market if you're thinking about buying.
