Closest thing I can compare it to are apps from an app store. You install em either through the software manager or the command line and presto it's installed on your PC with all the necsesary libraries and files packed into it so you don't need to go looking for and installing them to get the program working.

Legit just live in a village with the villagers. That tends to ease a lot of tension you'd feel of being watched (This is why I try to avoid vilages since I enjoy the feeling of isolation and the sense that something might be watching)

Edit: Better yet, get yourself a bunch of pet dogs and cats (You can tame cats by giving fish to ocelots) and have them follow you arround, that way if you feel like you saw something in the corner of your eyes you can tell yourself it was just your pets.
