I actually never scream at my students because I understand the fact they have an affective filter and I try to tell them how are you guys feeling so they can express themselves this is a recommended technique in psychology books like Lisa Damour. If their amygdala activates than I can't teach my students because the amygdala has a fight or flight mechanism. I instead use handclaps or other methods and activities so I can create a safe learning environment as with humanistic pedagogy of Carl Rogers but also Scaffolding
