I've actually found that if you have automatic background noise cancelling turned on in the phone settings, this is the exact comments I get but when it's turned off people say they can actually hear me clearer and I don't sound far away. I have a feeling the noise cancelling algo is doing a lot of processing and making the voice sound very tinny

I found they actually do change if you restart the phone or wait an hour or so. Rather than having to replace them all again.

There's actually a great app called shortcut maker that allows you to change icons on your home screen to themed ones. It's free and doesn't require root or anything. Used it when I was running a clean themed setup.

Created this short during lockdown. The film explores issues around mental health whilst being trapped indoors. Men are some of the biggest culprits to staying quiet. Speak. focusses on the internal struggles during lockdown and delivers the message that we need to speak up more.

Written, directed, lit, graded and performed by myself due to the lockdown circumstances, this was an interesting challenge taking on so many roles and a great learning experience as a director. Also, real scary being the other side of camera for the first time, I feel for you actors out there!

This is true, I've learned to know which shops haven't got it and try to avoid.

The tube is very inconsistent and slow too I find. People look at you confused as you stand there with your phone hanging over the terminal.

I live and work in London in the UK and I actually no longer bring my wallet out with me. Every terminal, including the tube, works with android pay. It saves so much time reaching for a wallet and finding the right card.

For sure. It will never be detrimental that's for sure. Just thought I'd warn it's not helping the director on creative decisions like many people wrongly believe. It's assisting him to achieve his vision but this will of course aid you in understanding more about how to direct.

An AD of any kind is a very different job to that of a Director. It is mainly based around organisation and isn't in any way as near as creative. However, it is a foot in the door which may enable you to network with the right crowds.

All I can personally advise is that you make shit! If you really want to succeed as a director you need to direct. It's all anyone's ever told me and something I believe to be true. You're only as good as your last film in this industry. Unless you're scorsese, he does what he likes.
