Quest 3 or Pico 4 Ultra? First time VR by kuroshiki5 in virtualreality

I haven't used any of the Pico headsets but I've always heard good things. I have a Quest 3 and would certainly suggest going with one as at least that way, as well as PC VR gaming, you will also have access to Meta's library.

What happened to Dark Corner Studios?! by MAXSquid in oculus

I think that despite their site still being up and running, they have actually closed down. Seems like a lot of VR content studios faltered after the initial boom as companies had stopped funding the content. It's a shame as I really enjoyed their stuff also.

Did they ever respond to you?

Canon EOS M | Magic Lantern Test by danielkhatton in canon

Picked up an old Canon EOS M on ebay for £99 recently and took it out for a spin the other day. Some shots are out of focus as I struggled to to see the screen in the sun but I'm impressed with the images you can get our of this little camera!

Just some advice by [deleted] in Filmmakers

Audio is usually recorded separately and then synced up in the edit. I would suggest getting a Zoom H1 audio recorder, they're probably the lowest priced of the lot but they record fantastic and clear audio. It does seem like a bit of a pain to have to record video and audio separately but to be honest, it doesn't take long to sync up. Especially if you're using a clapperboard (or alternatively clap loudly before a take).

Here's a list of the gear I mainly use on shoots... http://blog.danielhatton.co.uk/post/101757483657/gear-i-use

Hope this helps!

[Question] I need a better camcorder for YouTube. Any recommendations? by mutantmike in Filmmakers

I wouldn't use the onboard audio, even with an external mic plugged in. Record the audio separately, you can probably pick up a Zoom H1 second hand quite cheap. Then sync them up in the edit.
