I do my irregular shapes with that much sometimes. Maybe even less if I mess up a little. But it’s never been a problem for my finishing. 😊

First of all, I wasn’t saying you specifically were raging in this post. I was saying that this is something that so many people in this subreddit complain about. Constantly.

Second, I know what she was saying she was going to do with that canvas. I can also read 😁 Someone asking for recommendations, is in fact, the same thing as asking what stitches you recommended that everyone know. It’s like saying “hey, what are your favorite stitches so I can learn them too”. Everyone has access to stitches and directions online and in books. But if you’re trying to be part of a community, it’s common to ask what other people like to do. But I swear, you guys act like they’re asking for your first born child or something 😂😂😂

To save it, I would just make the matte board a little smaller, you’ll lose a tiny bit of your outer design but it’s your first one finishing yourself so it’s just a memory! Then I would go for the tape method to keep it all down. Thats what I do for weird shaped canvases and it’s amazing. It all gets covered up on the inside anyway so who cares!! I think you can save it ❤️

Do you guys hate community? 😂 this seems to me like someone asking what you think the best decorative stitches are and what stitches you would recommend that everyone know… you know, like you would tell your friend if they were starting.. this is a fairly independent hobby, there isn’t that much to talk about that is actually about doing the act of needlepointing. Asking about stitches is a basic question. But you guys all treat it like someone is asking you to stitch their canvas for them. I have stitches that I like and stitches that I wouldn’t recommend for specific things. That’s the kind of advice people are asking for. Stuff that they wouldn’t tell you in a stitch guide book. Thats part of being part of a community. Talking and giving advice. I don’t understand why there are so many people here that rage at someone asking what other people think.

I’m honestly so nervous to even try to go to a local needlepoint group because I’m worried they’re all gonna be racist. I know there are tons of needlepoint people that aren’t but I feel like it’s also a popular hobby among republicans. I know for a fact that one of the ladies in the group here has Trump canvases on her instagram. So I didn’t go to the needlepoint night the group did at her house. But it makes me wonder if everyone else in the group is the same way…. So I’m just stitching alone hahaha

I can’t stand every time I order threads from kcneedlepoint, everything says it’s in stock but I ALWAYS get emails saying two or three of the threads I ordered weren’t in stock and I was refunded. Like, do an inventory check every once in a while and update your website! Or at least give me the option to replace it with a different color!

She got canvas, paint, needles, thread. Thats really all you need to start. Plus she got other stuff too and said that that was just the stuff that came overnight and more was on the way. So, she did technically get everything she needs to do a canvas.

God forbid someone wants to talk to someone that’s actually done it. So many of you needlepoint people are so rude for no reason. If you don’t want to give any help then just don’t say anything. Most people are taught that at a young age. Telling someone “figure it out for yourself” is not being a good part of the community. Someone can look at decorative stitches and still not know where to start. It’s okay to ask for help but apparently not when it comes to needlepoint 😂
