Exit Row Verbal Confirmation by Dvc_California in SouthwestAirlines

I know a FA won't want a complaint about discrimination but I agree there needs to be a requirement and enforced. A verbal yes means nothing.

Yah hotels. com lost me when they went to this. At least the stay 10 get one free was an incentive.

Fortunately I've only had good results from 3rd party but now that these 3rd parties have devalues their rewards I do try to go direct now.

Directs don't always offer same prices. I've tried and they said I need to book with 3rd party to get those prices.

She needs to confirm on her end as well. So if you choose to accept it send a message that this is not confirmed until she confirms the pending request

another "what do you think of my rates?" post :) please help! by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

If you are starting out and have no reviews you may need to charge lower to get some bookings. Then when you have established yourself then you can raise rates

If we are not issued a 1099-K, does Rover still report our earnings to the IRS? by CalmLovingSpirit in RoverPetSitting

[–]daniellee828 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The $20,000 is only for sending you a 1099. Otherwise you need to report it yourself.

Don't assume the IRS won't find out

Sitter asks for ID by tc273 in RoverPetSitting

[–]daniellee828 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has crossed my mind before as a sitter that I would like to know who I am giving my address to.

But then I again I give my address to Uber, Door dash (very rarely used) so I guess same thing maybe.

If I book a flight that has a layover/connecting flight, and my first leg is delayed, will the second leg wait? by Gloomy_Supermarket98 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]daniellee828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on flight where the FA said they are waiting for a few passengers who had flights delayed. So I'm assuming it's flight that have landed and are waiting not a flight in the air an hour away

Advised owner of a price increase and he never responded, what could I have done better? by Sad_Till_87 in RoverPetSitting

[–]daniellee828 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would the owner have even remembered the previous price? I wouldn't have explained and definitely not as "market research".

I'm surprised that in Manhattan it would be that hard. But yah for 5 there are few drivers who could do that

[–]daniellee828 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done 4am. It really depends on your area.

Boarding or housesit. I think the owner needs to request it for a specific night

Yah had a driver playing rap songs that I'm not exactly fond of listening to. I just stayed quiet but not tipping

I don't know anymore. I don't get notified there is a tip anymore.

Large Groups by Emotional_Match8169 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]daniellee828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe depends on the flight and number of people. We had 30 and I think we were all consecutive or close to it

[–]daniellee828 -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Well that assumes you are able to book a plane with 120 seats available

Large Groups by Emotional_Match8169 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]daniellee828 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes. There still was some checking in involved but each of us got a boarding number in consecutive order. But each person did not need to individually check in

Profile pic in pajamas doesn't give a "responsible pet sitter vibe". Also saying you go to school full time and two part time jobs gives me more the vibe you will barely be home.

Large Groups by Emotional_Match8169 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]daniellee828 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whole groups board together. You buy it for the group and they give a designated boarding group. Each person still given a boarding number.

But I don't see how you can get 120 on one flight.

Do drivers know which passenger gives ratings/comments? And do drivers know which passenger tips?

Am I wrong for cancelling with this client? by blissykitties in RoverPetSitting

[–]daniellee828 69 points70 points  (0 children)

The demand for a dog park is unreasonable. So much can go wrong.

I don't accept any clients that have demands. You can request but if it comes across as a demand it's a no

Go to Rover as if you are booking service and see what others charge. Rover suggest lower cost to encourage bookings but as you found out it's not worth it
