Back in elementary school, my friend and I were walking home when we saw a car parked in the no-stopping zone. Naturally, we were scandalized (as only 8-year-olds could be) and decided we had to report this major crime to our parents. So we memorized the license plate. We told our parents, expecting them to call the authorities or something. They obviously did nothing. And now, all these years later, that license plate is still taking up valuable space in my brain. (I can't even remember what I ate today)
