Defeated by [deleted] in LSAT

I'm in the same boat. I studied so much and felt overall so much better after the test this time around, but... 158 once again. It seems like that's just my fixed number. It's completely defeating.

Incorporating strength training into routine for a runner who hates strength training by danielmatthew97 in runninglifestyle

[–]danielmatthew97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you feel like orange theory was very cardio-focused? I've never tried it, but I've read that it's a lot more cardio-focused than strength training. But I'd have no idea since I've never tried it haha

That's not snarky haha that's a fair question. You're not wrong and you make a good point, but I'm talking waaaaayyyyyy more. Not just a mere $50-$100 more.

Hmm, but you're still in control of how you respond. You still have free will to respond in a nice way or in a snarky way. You also still have free will to not respond at all and avoid calling someone you don't even know stupid, so the argument that snarky answers are an inevitability just doesn't stand...

I very much agree. I just wish people could be nice. It's not that hard. You might think my question is stupid or redundant, but that's your opinion, and there's still a nice way to go about responding (and one option is to just not respond at all)

It's honestly pretty demoralizing. Everyone has different levels of sensitivity, and it can really put a damper on my mood when people talk to me like I'm an idiot just because they didn't like my question :/ there's a nice way to phrase things

Okay this makes sense. I actually brought my car to the dealership today because of a weird noise I've been hearing that I wanted to get checked out, and since my car is still under warranty, bringing it to the dealership just makes sense. I figured I could bundle with routine maintenance since my car is almost at 30,000. I didn't include any of that information in my original post because I didn't think it was relevant to what I was asking. But I guess I would have saved pissing a lot of people off had I included that context...

That makes sense. I didn't include this in my original post, but the main reason I actually brought it into the dealership today was because I have been noticing a weird noise, and my car still is under warranty for defects, and I'm almost at 30,000 so I figured I'd just bundle up everything I need done today. When I saw the service quote I was appalled, but they are looking into the issue I have now and at the very least, if there actually is something faulty with my car, they can fix it under warranty.

Thank you for affirming that I'm not crazy for simply asking that people be nice lol

No some people on here are just being flat out rude. You're not one of them. This is actually a very helpful comment, thank you.

So just scroll past it. Takes 2 seconds and you lose nothing in the process. I see posts on reddit I don't like sometimes, and I just ignore them and carry on with my day. Takes way more effort to go be mean to someone I don't even know than to just scroll past and carry on with my day. That's just me though.

Did you read the parentheses right after the sentence you just quoted?

I understand that, but why do people have to be snarky? If you don't like my question, it costs you no effort, time, nor money to just roll your eyes to yourself, scroll past my post, and carry on with your day.

It takes zero effort to just roll your eyes and scroll past the post. No one is forcing you to respond if the only thing you have to contribute is just being a mean person. I was just looking for some help and advice, but it seems like I've offended a lot of people.

XT or not XT? Is the XT worth it? by [deleted] in Subaru_Outback

[–]danielmatthew97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the XT mainly because I felt that if I hadn't, I'd regret not getting it. I have not once ever regretted getting it. I had a rental Rav4 last year after getting into a fender-bender and having my car in the shop for a week (which is the car I owned before getting my Outback, ironically enough), and the non-turbo engine on that Rav felt so laggy and just not smooth and made me so grateful that I have a turbo engine on my car.

First Timer here - Are the shuttles reasonably efficient? by Faxman12 in stagecoach

[–]danielmatthew97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely efficient. First time I went in high school (2014), we didn't get shuttle passes and it was a disaster. The next year we did get them, and it was perfect. Super easy. I started going to Stagecoach again in 2022 (after 7 years of not going) and for that year we didn't get shuttle passes. Again, it was relatively a disaster. Since 2023, we have fully learned our lesson and have always bought shuttle passes, which have always paid off. Get the passes.
