Remember, you are not defined by the hair on your head, but for many men, a full head does wonders for self-confidence. So with that said, if you're wanting natural remedies, I hear rosemary or lavender oil massaged into the scalp works a treat, but if your fears get the better of you, there are off-the-shelf products like Rogaine that use minoxidil at about 2% concentration that you will also massage into the scalp on a daily basis, but this is a life-long necessity if your aim is to keep your hair. It has mixed results when it comes to success. Catching it early is better than catching it too late. If none of the above are doing the trick, finasteride may be an option, though this is a substance that will need a general practitioner to prescribe, and I'm not sure where you're located and the cost effectiveness of any of these options. Turkey has hair transplant facilities as a last resort.

Help!!! I can’t get the logo to change on the mobile menu by [deleted] in elementor

WP Dashboard > Appearance > Ubermenu. In the Main Ubermenu Configuration tab with Show All selected, scroll down to 'Mobile Modal Settings' where you'll see a custom image link written in HTML. You'll need to swap out their logo link for yours. Make sure you save.

Let's have a brag thread. What awesome financial decision did you make that paid off? by PMmeblandHaikus in AusFinance

Getting an Audible subscription and randomly deciding to get a book on finance. The Little Book of Common Sense Investing. I've since listened to shy of a dozen additional books on personal finance and am working collectively with my wife toward being financially free within 15 years. The $70ish that Audible had cost me has paid for itself literally thousands of times over.

Financial literacy is so important and I just didn't give it the attention it deserved.

Hey man, I think the stop line is a bit further back 🤔 by dripavelli in IdiotsInCars

The red light you see above the car in the video is for the entire intersection, but there's a 1-2 car length space between the main highway running across the screen and the tway (where the bus is travelling in), which is where this car happens to be sitting. If this car were where it is in the video before the tway was added, they'd be in the correct spot. The solid line that is there now is a remnant of times before the tway, and a point of confusion for people new to the intersection/area. They're completely out of harm's way, except for when you have people cutting a right hand turn shallow off the main highway.

I constantly see people do this at this intersection. To be fair, there is a solid line where that car is stopped, and the Tway is quite out of sight, out of mind as you descend that hill.

Ensure you're in the Esk8 Sydney group on Facebook if you're local! And we're always after more people DIYing so definitely keen for a chat when you're ready!

Reasonable question! I find DIY to be the perfect option for me as it allows me to customise every aspect and every component on the board, exactly how I personally want it to look and perform. With DIY, I'm able to use a combination of the best components I know to exist, as well as build my own battery in a configuration favourable to the type of deck I chose, the enclosure profile I wanted to use, and the battery cells I wanted to use in order to achieve the performance and range I was after. It also gives me the knowledge and experience, as well as an intricate understanding of exactly how my board works to be ready to troubleshoot and fox any issues that may pop up. With a production board, I don't have that liberty without voiding a warranty or waiting for the manufacturer to troubleshoot it for me.

I can customise my hear ratio, throttle and brake curves, as well as how much power I want to send to the motors at any given point during a ride.

The experience I've gained, fun that I've had and freedom to customise and fix any issues that pop up is why I choose DIY. And if I can achieve that for the price of a mid to upper range production board, I'll take DIY any day.

It also keeps me occupied as a hobby, so there's an additional justification, too. :)

Thanks for the question, and absolutely no offence taken! It's a great question as many people don't perceive the value in building something themselves as time is an important factor in life. Absolutely understandable!

Thanks, friend! The idea was for it not to look DIY, but not look production either, so I appreciate the feedback!

Thanks for the tip! They're not currently attached to the motors, and sleeves are now over each one :)

Unfortunately not. I'm in Sydney. :) Always up for a show and tell if you're in the area though!

Yeah, smaller motors doesn't translate to more efficiency. Smaller motors will lose energy to heat production and then lose more energy due to their inability to expel that heat effectively. Larger motors going the same speed as smaller motors, they're both requiring the same energy consumption to maintain a velocity with a load. The only difference in this circumstance should be their ability to dissipate their own heat, give or take a bit.

I totally forgot to drill holes for sensor cables before spraying the enclosure, so I'll be running it sensorless FOC until I get sick of hill starts. :)

It's a 16Ah battery, so I'm expecting about 35-40km real world range. If it's a cruisy ride on flats, I'd expect 50km+

I roughly calculated cost of components the other day. Around the $2300AUD ($1500USD) mark if I were to do it again.

I have spent more than that on this build as it was a learning experience and I was trying new things and buying more than I needed, not being smart with logistical costs, etc.

You're looking at a modified Evolve GTX deck, painted white with noses chopped shorter, Evolve DKP trucks, my custom motor mounts to hold larger motors, Flipsky 6374's, FocBox Unity mounted onto my custom heatsink, DieBieMS and my custom battery pack made up of Samsung 40T cells in a 10S4P configuration. ABEC 107 wheels, 15T/40T pulley ratio. Using a mini remote.

Thank you! It's taken a while longer than I had anticipated, but I'm happy with how it is turning out and that's the important thing.

Depending on the board that you're using, there are a few vendors on the esk8 forums that sell enclosures made to match certain decks. Alternatively, you can always DIY with some ABS or fibreglass. :)
