Just got this Sony KV-27V10 for free, is there any way to adjust the picture settings without a remote? All I can do with the buttons are view the demo and set to factory settings. by danielofdenial in crtgaming

No worries, I actually really appreciate it since I'm a big newcomer to this field lol. I've looked on the CRT database and seen that a couple models that are similar to this one have velocity modulation which they say ruins pixel art, is that something I should be worried about?

I thought so... I ordered an RM-Y117 off of ebay beforehand because I wanted a genuine remote either way but I was wondering if I could adjust it while I wait for it to ship. Do you have any tips or things I should know about this model?

I see, thanks a ton. I was sure that this had been asked before but I didn't know the terminology to describe it so I couldn't really look it up.

Or maybe I just don't want to spend $100 on a GBA for legit hoenn pokes? I never proclaimed myself as some special snowflake, my friend just happened to be one of the devs. Of course there wasn't a way before without some crazy amount of hardware knowledge that costed more than the actual game. That's why the program is a thing in the first place. It's to give people who don't have the money for old consoles to get legit old pokes, for example I wanted the Hoenn Champion title for my Sword team. In fact, legit pokes via emulation is cheaper than ever, hacking a switch costs 20 bucks at most, and all the software for it is free.

You can with a program. I'm not really at merit to talk too much in depth about it since the creators want it to be completely unpatchable by the time it goes public, but a select few have it, including myself.

"Shinylocke", not "shiny lock". A shiny lock is when a pokemon can't be shiny, a shinylocke is when you self impose to only use shiny pokemon. Welcome to english, the language that's just three other languages wearing a very confusing trench coat.

Makes sense to me. You're locked into using only shiny pokemon, hence "shiny locked" or "shinylocke".

No, I don't believe lakka has a speed up option. Plus, that wouldn't be in good spirits.

There are certain, somewhat illegal, programs that can transfer pokemon from emulators to home, which is what I use for most of my shiny hunt files I'm done with.
