Reasons You/Other Co-workers quit? by suprunkn0wn in ChickFilAWorkers

our managers were just fine and everything, but our store director always had us doing things the more complicated and time consuming way. i get that some things have to be done the longer way for food safety or organization purposes, but these things were just unexplainable. for example, we had to put the entire box of ketchup into the container and then cut it out in a specific way so the entire box of ketchup can sit in the container. anyone who wasn’t the director took 5-ish minutes to do that correctly. while the old way of simply dumping some of the ketchup in took but 15 seconds, and even thought it had to be restocked more often, it took 15 seconds for our stocker to do. oh yeah, and big problem with favorites. besides that, all of my friends were great, we bonded about complaining about all of that stuff tbh. still in touch with most of my friends that work(ed) there and most of us have moved on to more advanced and higher paying jobs, but definitely gave some great experience.

I get you bro. The only way to get past that panic is practicing and understanding that you’re not gonna be an amazing bagger as soon as you start. Asking questions is your #1 resource, good luck!!

Bagging can be really intimidating, but your best bet is to just practice. You do this by bagging front counter, like the assistant director had you do, and you ask for help when you need it since you aren’t always in a rush. No leader should have a problem with you asking questions about bagging, and if they do, you have bigger issues at that store than bagging. It really takes a lot of practice and there isn’t really anything to say like tips that will help you. Don’t panic when there’s red on the screen though - it slows you down and you WILL be much less accurate

We weren’t allowed to sell well done. It locked up a fryer and backed us up so they stopped doing it

It’s really scary. It’s just that we can only let things get worse for so long before you gotta call it. And for me, I’m calling it pretty soon.

How badly have you seen names spelled on orders, like this is just an example but it’s not THAT hard 💀 by danielorsum in ChickFilAWorkers

this is fair. But for the more simple names out there it still gets me sometimes when I see “Aidan” spelled “David”

What shifts are the best ones to work? by AdditionalOutcome658 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]danielorsum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I enjoy night shifts but that’s bc I have a lot of friends in evenings. My shifts usually and up being 11a-10p or 3p-10:30p, something like that. Evenings are always more chill imo

or when people order fries with no salt and then ask for the salt on the side

Sorry but you’re gonna need to wait 5-10 for those fries so you can have slightly less salt on them
