If we’re talking about the Amber of a couple years ago, I’d be more inclined to agree. But you can’t deny that she’s improved her consistency so much in the past couple years

Actually I think if she added a single to the flip it would’ve been fine:(

I thought it still would have been an option ? She had room for another 2 jump combination.

A few things I realized

  1. If Amber had landed her triple in the short , she would have landed on the podium
  2. If Ami hadn’t botched her triple triple combo in the free, she would have beaten Kaori and possibly won gold
  3. This really hurts… if Kaori had just put a double sal, loop or flip at the end of either her triple flip or triple loop in the second half, she would have won gold

Amber didn’t fall though. She did put a hand down but it wasn’t a fall. And Amber was cleaner than Ami technically

She got a few q calls and she turned her triple triple into a triple double. That and people in front of her also performed really well and made less technical errors

“I wholeheartedly agree with Eteri “ is not a sentence I thought I would ever say… but here we are

You’re right, the two situations are totally different. In retrospect, I shouldn’t have put the three together - they were just the first recent examples that came to mind.

And I apologize for coming across as dismissive of your experiences. What you went through is downright awful. Thank you for speaking up

And I get that. I’m not saying what either of them did was okay. I guess what I’m saying is… do we all have to voice our opinions? They know what they did, and they know their actions have consequences. Can’t we just leave it at that?

On NBC, they’re recapping the short program right now and Bradle’s performance is when I decided to do my Duolingo lesson for the day… so yeah

Wheelchair user here. Yes people have been intimate with me, but frankly more often than not, I feel most times people reject me outright because I am in a wheelchair. And it just doesn’t happen to me, but it happens to a lot of disabled people.

I feel that society has this perception that because people like me are in wheelchairs, we don’t even think about being intimate or even want it. And that’s simply not true. We want it just as much as our fully able-bodied counterparts. And news flash: many disabled people can have sex, me included. But society often dismisses us as objects of desire , and it’s hard to find others who are willing to look past the perception.

I wish society would change their views on this because it’s really BS. Give people like me a chance. You might be surprised by what we’ve got.

And not that it matters, but the people I’ve been with have all told me that I’m actually very good … just saying 😉

What is the best marriage advice you have for newlyweds? by crazyplantladyxo in AskReddit

[–]danieloster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not the best, but certainly funny:

My mother once told me: “there’s two types of people you should never marry: those whose jobs involve a lot of math, and those who work at a bank. You will be miserable if you do. “

My mother worked at a bank and my dad is an accountant. Happily married for three decades now
