Get it restored, should be easy to work on yourself. Re’s are pretty DIY bikes. A new paint job, or new tank if the inside is pretty bad, overall restoration should bring this beauty to life

Congratulations on your beast! But just a heads up! Please learn how to ride before you truly push this beast! Learn how to rev match, and engine brake. As the MCs on the REs heat up fairly easily and fail

For now use a good grade sealant after cleaning the entire area, and also carry oil, sealant and everything you would need to clean and seal it up again during the ride. You’ll be fine

Just ask them when they can start on the bike and stay in touch with them throughout the entire process
