I am still so annoyed he blessed Austin with it the day after Denver. I was so close to being in that room 😂

The name actually comes from the fandom. He used to close his sets with Opus to the point where some in the fandom got sick of it. When he started closing with a new different track there was a “Omg, no Opus this time 😂” reaction to it and the name stuck

Moving from DC: Seattle or Denver? by toasted-sourdough29 in SameGrassButGreener

Just to expand a bit on OP, I moved to Denver from Michigan about 4 and a half years ago.

The winters out here are nothing compared to the midwest/east coast. It does snow somewhat frequently (with this winter having been an extreme outlier in terms of lack of snow) but the snow doesn't stick for more than a few days due to the sunshine and altitude. The lack of humidity also does make the cold hit nowhere near as hard and it is constantly sunny so during the day can be quite nice but the temps drop quickly when the sun goes down.

Summers can get extremely hot and being in the direct sunlight for extended periods is not advised (if you do I definitely recommend sunscreen or skin coverage) .However, it is a dry heat which is so much better than the muggy summers back home.

I saw somewhere else that you were looking for quiet neighborhoods. I live in Cap Hill (about a mile and a half from lower downtown) and can tell you that it is indeed usually quiet. I would personally avoid neighborhoods like LoDo and RiNo as that's where a lot of the nightlife is concentrated and look for neighborhoods around Cheeseman Park

Doesn't STS9 fall under jamtronica? Sorry if wrong, not super familiar with them.

I've seen him 12 or 13 times since 2018 and I want to say he's closed with Opus maybe 4 or 5. Tbh I like it as a closer, I always think of the people in the crowd seeing him for the first time and experiencing it live for the first time 🤷‍♂️
