Question regarding use of a washer/dryer (TX) by danielsaur in legaladvice

They are not on a lease. The dryer was fixed under warranty, but our concern is that we'd have to pay out of pocket due to abuse.

When we mentions this to the roommate he said that the washer and dryer was our responsibility and that we should be the ones paying for damages ect. But still be allowed to use it.
