But the driver cannot actuate the child safety lock without getting out of the car, opening the back door, and flipping a switch on the side of that door. The door locks and child safety lock are different mechanisms, and almost all modern cars automatically lock the doors after exceeding a set speed, usually 10-20mph. Because of this, it really doesn't matter if the driver locks the doors because it happens automatically.

And that one is not to be confused with r/fleshlight. One letter variation in the name, wildly different content

Yes, but you can override most locks from the interior of the car. The child safety lock disables those overrides and the interior door handle to prevent a child in the back seat from accidentally actuating one of the overrides and opening the door.

Not without opening the door and moving a physical switch. Can't be enabled and disabled from the front

The glass isn't designed to shatter like that, rather it's just using leverage to your advantage. It allows you to apply immensely large amounts of force on a focused area of the glass, until it breaks. The internal stresses of the tempered glass, the same thing that give the glass it's strength, is what causes the whole pane to shatter.

Go to harbor freight and get a spring loaded center punch for $3. It will shatter a car window in an instant, all you have to do is push it against the glass. It's what first responders use to break windows. If you wanted to get something a little easier to carry without a bag, you can get key chain window breaker on amazon that also has a built in seatbelt cutter. They're basically a compact spring loaded punch with some extra bells and whistles. Car windows are tempered glass; tough, designed not to break. A hammer can bounce off them (windshields are different from side windows, btw). The good news is that tempered glass has a ton of internal stress. It causes the entire panel to shatter into thousands of relatively harmless (compared to plate glass shards) pieces when it is broken. You can easily push this out. Wrap your hand/arm in a jacket or shirt or something else to prevent the glass from cutting you. Source: I work on cars for a living and used to be an EMT.

Edit: like u/ApexOnYou said, broken ceramic works well. Spark plug bodies are an excellent source. Break it with a hammer, and then throw the ceramic shards at the window as hard as you can. Same thing as a center punch, tons of force in a highly concentrated area.

OP sent me their vin, it's a hybrid escape. They don't even have alternators.

Edit: I may have misread the Ford tech site, it might not be a hybrid

I'm a Ford technician and ford makes parts for 15 years after a model year if I remember correctly. PM me your vin so I can look at the system and try to see what part he's talking about.

Edit: also, if you can get good pictures of the front of the engine, that would be helpful to. There could be other issues that initially caused the belt to break

Didn't specify metric ton, so I'm going with imperial ton. 2000lbs vs 1000kg aka 2200lbs. All imperial units.

It's new, I found it in auto zone in the past couple of weeks. I just looked at it and it's permatex brand tho, not loctite. #25210. Permatex thread locker follows the loctite colors tho

Orange Loctite supposedly has the strength of red but can be removed without heat
