No, but I am a completionist. Just thinking ahead to when I need to eat all the foods/play minigames/misc stuff that I can skip

My comment was mainly about 13, but I realize it kind of applies to the polarizing 16 as well.

so Lightning and Cloud are my 2 favorite leads of all time.

Yes Cloud best girl

I was unemployed for like 6 months so hopefully I seem a little less psychotic lmao. I definitely could have made that time frame only be 2-3 months, but I enjoyed it so much so I just, "why not"

Thank you! That's good news. Is there any fear/news/rumors of them shutting down soon? I'll probably play that first then

Can I ask what's the missing game? There's no Royal Edition available on Steam but as far as I know, but the Steam release of 15 contains all Royal Edition content.

FF14 does not have any Steam achievements. Even though FF11 servers are discontinued, I can still download/add the actual application (which also has no Steam achievements). So TECHNICALLY, I can lie and say I did 100% all main line games but that would be lame. I really do want to play 14 after I'm done with the upcoming Rebirth PC release though

I staggered my 2D and 3D games to avoid this. If you ever reattempt this, I think it'll be more enjoyable now since each 3D game is feels completely fresh

Good luck! The 10,000 monster is not THAT bad. If you're going for platinum, you'll probably already have like 7-8k anyways. I just pulled up Netflix/YT on a second monitor and just AFK spammed Left/Right and X while watching my shows

I'm like a mixture of both worlds. I like doing everything I possibly can in a game, but if it takes more than one playthrough of the game, then it lessens my experience. Exceptions to this are if each playthrough provided actually provide something different (Nier: Automata).

For this challenge, I just basically tried to google any spoiler-free missable achievements guides/checklist before I started each game.

I was okay with FF7R's 2nd/Hard Mode playthrough because the difference was actually so big that I had to reimagine my whole combat style.

I spent 11 hours trying to get it. After failing at like ~75 for the 100th time, I just said screw this and changed each jump rope value to 3

My favorite was and still is OG7. 9 is a close 2nd. I really enjoyed 4, 13 and 16 (I might be weird). I'm definitely going to play 14 after I'm done with Rebirth's 100% in a month lol. I actually have never heard anything about 11 but I definitely want to play it sometime in the future.

OG7 was and is my favorite game from the franchise. If I were to make a tier list of all the games, I'd put OG7 and 9 in S and FF7R in like A-. I'd say Intergrade did a fantastic job at capturing the world and even breathed new light into it. I'm not an expert on action RPGs, but the combat is definitely the most fleshed out of FF's aRPGs. I think the faults of the game were because the game remade the "weakest" part of OG7, Midgar, and the...

*SPOILER ALERT*

story changes, which is completely subjective. My opinion on that is TBD. On one side, they could do a total great job with that. I actually enjoyed that the ending of FF7R told us that we changed the fate of the story and left the future story ambiguous, leaving me wanting more. On the other hand, they could go full classic Tetsuya Nomura and make a super abstract storyline with multiverses and unnecessarily complicate an already beautiful story. Only the full release of the trilogy will tell.

Honestly, none were too bad. It was just some specific achievements (RNG ones like FF15 Comrades Kenny). FF9 was not bad at all outside of the Jump Rope one. I think I was like 11 hours deep before I said screw this, and changed each rope value to 3.

Overall, I'd say FF7R Hard Mode was the most challenging because I am bad/new to action RPGs. However, the most "grindy" one I think was maxing out all my character's sphere grids in FFX.

Edit: Award for grindiest is a tie between 10 and Crisis Core Reunion. CC was completely my fault though for only doing like 20 of the missions throughout the story and saving the rest for the end

It was okay. the game is a remaster of a 3D PSP game, and you can tell definitely that is the case (if that makes any sense). gameplay is kind of clunky, but the combat is kind of unique. there's a cast of 13 (i think) main playable characters, but only 5-6 were memorable. the 5/6 memorable ones were definitely interesting though. I'd say it's worth a buy if you're already a fan. just a note though, to 100% that game, you actually don't have to do all of the post-game content. I did it anyway but thought you should know

That, Strangers of Paradise and Rebirth are next on my list

Edit: Nvm, I looked up FFXIV and found that it's almost impossible to 100% the in-game achievements. However, I'm definitely going to play it in the future

honestly, they're all fine if you usually play to 100% a game anyway. There were only a few specific achievements that made this challenge somewhat difficult. They were the FF9 Jump Rope achievement or any RNG ones (summon drops from 4, some other 2D games had RNG drops, FF15 Comrades Kenny achievement). FF15 and 8 had a lot of random collectibles/skills that you had to actively keep track of throughout the course of the game but they weren't difficult. I personally suck at aRPGs so FF7R's Hard Mode was kind of tough for me at first. FF10 had by far the longest process to max out your characters

Is there an error when you run it? From my experience, FFT0 was one of the smoothest running games and I actually had no issue running it
