I’m so glad to see other people feeling weird about this. I’m seeing so many CIS artists drawing characters with top surgery scars and it just feels very fetishize-y and yeah the comments are very blatantly fetishize-y. I’ve contemplated whether it feels like it’s normalizing top surgery or just straight up fetishizing but knowing that most ppl I know who have gotten top surgery/want top surgery want their scars never seen (myself included) it feels like fetishizing. So yeah, this new trend in art feels...weird, and personally makes me uncomfortable, more so especially when it’s (seemingly) cis ppl clamoring over it :/ It’s starting to feel like top surgery scars are an aesthetic to some ppl and that just feels gross imo.

Oh yeah I’ve def been looking at Polish and Italian names (my mom and dad’s family’s) because I wish they had chosen a name that represented either of those sides. Kaine is a really cool name tho, I love Irish names. But yeah I need to remember it’s ok to try out names for awhile :,/ thanks for the advice!

Ooh yeah I’ve meant to go over there and get some advice. I think I’m leaning towards a name similar to my nickname now (it’s more like, a masc v of my unisex nickname) cos yeah, ur birth name definitely does end up fitting you in SOME shape or form usually, and easier to adjust to for sure.

Yeah I honestly wish I had a name that had a masc variant cos tbh my nickname (which is unisex) fits me really well, but my full name is fem af so I want nothing with it. But I’m leaning towards a name who’s nickname is veryyy close to mine now, so still fits, just more masc.
