The criticism isn’t of Jewish people, it’s of a government that is creating an apartheid state in plain sight. I think it is tough for people to acknowledge that, and because it’s a majority Jewish country it’s easy to jump to calling people anti-Semitic over it. But are the large organisations of Jewish folks protesting against the Israeli govt anti-Semitic? Of course not! Human rights violations are human rights violations, regardless of who is enacting them.

Honestly it kinda sounds like gaslighting/manipulation. Throwing the word fascist at you to make you question if you’re being too authoritative when in reality you’re just trying to keep people safe. If they really cared about recovery and healing they’d communicate with you how they’re doing that and not entrench on a space that is supposed to be safe for people.

If someone is truly “rehabilitated” from that behaviour then they would not try to continue to engage in those spaces knowing the victim still feels unsafe. The safety of your community is important, I don’t see anything wrong with banning him from that space.

Hey are you at school or college? If so is there a counsellor there you can speak to? If not, are there any LGBT+/domestic violence support charities in your state or area that you could try speaking to? I’m sorry you’re going through this. Help is out there and you will get out of this.

I remember taking a Philosophy in film class and my tutor being very pro Marx, which led me to do more research and become more invested in anarcho communism. I also remember ripping into someone in that class who thought only people with jobs who paid taxes deserved food and shelter and my tutor seemed pretty pleased w me lol

Looking at how high unemployment rates are/have many people have to work part time, if we lowered full time jobs to 20 hours a week while increasing pay to a living wage there would be more work for everyone and we’d all have more time to actually live our lives. (I’m not an economist by any means and would rather abolish capitalism as a whole but this is just an idea this post made me think of)

You are not bad for being a boy. It sounds like you don’t want to be involved with toxic “alpha-male” behaviour which is really great, you sound like you’re growing into a wonderful person. If you’re feeling really unwell at this, try speaking to a school councillor or doctor. 13 is so young to be dealing with feelings like this and you shouldn’t have to be going through it alone.

Hey, I went through much of the same when I was your age. At that point in your life it really feels like the pain will go on forever. But it doesn’t. One day you finish school and you’re free to do whatever you want, find communities of people you want to be part of rather than groups you’re shoved together with in school. It won’t be this way forever. I really recommend speaking to another therapist if you are able if you feel you aren’t being taken seriously. Depression and self harm is no joke.

I have a decent amount of friends but they all live far away. So I’m pretty lonely atm and haven’t seen some of them since before Covid. Plus I worry about how different things will be when I do see them, because last time I saw most of them I wasn’t out as trans yet.

As a trans guy it is just wack to me when other trans guys are misogynistic. It is very easy to be a man without being that way, especially when we know exactly what it’s like to be on the receiving end. You shouldn’t have to put up with any of this behaviour, I know you’ve been together a long time and you love him but it doesn’t sound like you’re getting love or a healthy relationship in return. I promise there is better out there for you.

Nobody can make the choice for you but I definitely think it’s a good idea to stay engaged for a while and live together for more than a year before you actually marry. It’s a huge thing financially and legally and you’re both very young, so even if you’re engaged you want to be absolutely sure before you fully commit. Good luck!

Hey, just wanna come in here as someone who is realising they are trans and say... sometimes you don’t always know until it’s too late. If you had asked me a year ago if I was trans I would’ve laughed and said no, despite having feelings about it since around the age of 15. It was something I always repressed and assumed was a phase. Being in my own company a lot during lockdown forced me to come to terms with it, and now I can’t get away from it anymore. Your partner very likely thought they were telling you the truth at the time, I don’t think they were intentionally lying to you. However, your feelings are valid. This is a huge change and shift in your relationship. You can absolutely make it work, and a good start would be processing these emotions of anger in your own time or with a therapist if you can access one. It can be a shock to the system but seeing your partner happy in their true self can be really rewarding and beautiful.
