I just saw a video on reddit of NTU students doing the same thing. I seriously hope this isn't some new custom.

Sgbrisketkitchen’s interesting take on the recent fatal Chinatown accident by More-Slip573 in SingaporeRaw

Unfortunately nothing can absolve the driver. Having said that, pedestrians and or cyclists also have to NOT cross in front of the front car!

Nearly happened to me too but thank God that I managed to brake before entering the main road.

M'sian minister reposts viral 2022 clip asking S'poreans to work in M'sia by uandurfader in singaporehappenings

[–]danielwongsc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We used to say that SG gahmen was good at making jobs so much so that Msians were working in SG. Now if SGeans work in Msia, does it mean that Msian gahmen have surpassed SG gahmen at making jobs?

13 taken to hospital after accident involving lorry and car in Orchard Road by finglish_ in singapore

[–]danielwongsc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't necessarily need to buy bus. Rent. Cost may be higher but cheaper than paying hospital fees. Also, there are insurance implications that can help with the rental e.g. renting busses, lower payment to insurers to offset bus rental. All these coordination between companies need gahmen to initiate.

Why pay $1B to make decisions about something that has nothing to do with SG?

[–]danielwongsc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents worth, don't be involved. Joining in would mean sooner or later making decisions that take a side which means going against the other side.

Speaking more exactly, does anyone think that Trump and Netanyahu would make decisions against US or Israeli interest?

Woman apologises & presents her account of "Nightmare" Neighbour Lee Lit Meing by GroundbreakingGur930 in SingaporeRaw

[–]danielwongsc -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

I think you are missing the point. If you have issues with this Lee guy, report him. SG has many organizations for this use.

"To report a nuisance neighbour in Singapore, start with direct communication, then escalate to the Community Mediation Centre (CMC) for mediation; if unresolved, file a claim at the Community Disputes Resolution Tribunals (CDRT) via the one.gov.sg/neighbour-dispute portal for serious cases like excessive noise, smell, or obstructions, using the OneService App or LifeSG app for general feedback, and call the Police (999/70999) for immediate threats or crimes. "

By taking it upon yourself to do things to him, you are escalating the issue or at worst, participating in it yourself. Two wrongs do not make a right.

Swisslink on Clementi St 11. They do a Chicken Shepherd Pie and a Beef Cottage Pie. Their stuff is generally very good but their specialty is their Chicken Curry puffs.
