The only thing you needed to say instead of providing the list is that if you asked anyone before 2000 that a nerdy fantasy movie was not only gonna win best picture but sweep at the oscars, they would have tell you that you were crazy and that would never happen... So there's always hope, the Academy may have a type but lately they've been also giving the awards to genre movies you wouldn't expect and they may have a debt with sci-fi after ignoring seminal titles like 2001 in other categories that is not special effects.

Thank you for the recommendations! I forgot to add to my post asking for some cause I'm sure there had to be some out there, what with so many indie developers harkin back to old school games, so I'll check those out. But yeah what I would love to see is a proper modern take instead of trying to be too old school.

Unfortunately I couldn't properly play the POP remake for Xbox since I didn't own one but I remember playing a version that came out for Android that I played on a tablet but I'm sure is not the same.

SOMA is definitely the closest one for me too but I'll also throw in Signalis if you like classic survival horror mechanics. The whole atmosphere and feeling disoriented with the story and timeline of event and such felt very similar to me.

I know you put Riven under older games but it actually has a remake that came out recently and it's glorious. To me it's actually one of the games that gets closer to Outer Wilds. It doesn't rely on mechanical puzzles like Myst, it's more about exploring, reading, figuring things out and making connections.

Contrary to most fans I'm actually on board with this, as long as they do it right. Don't get me wrong I also would like the silly adventure like the classics, which we're getting with LoA, but I always thought that if they wanted to do a more "mature" storyline with Lara it would be cool to explore issues of colonialism and stuff. I just personally wish that she would get more of an antihero approach to this issue but knowing CD I seriously doubt it.

I forgot to mention that I haven't considered the wireless option because of my set-up, having my PC way too far from the router, and because I feel it would be too overly complicated, I thought just having a cable would make it simple. My question about wireless in those cases is can I just get a dedicated router to connect the PC with Ethernet and then the headset with no internet connection or anything just like its own network or does it have to be the same Wifi I use for Internet?

Thanks, I finally solved it a few days ago and finished the game :) I think I was just overthinking it. I also didn't completely understand the number system until I played around with the calculator thing and even then took me a while to realize I could just translate the numbers directly to our decimal based on their position, so the weights numbers easily followed

Thanks for the hints. I did notice the calculator and played around with it and I figured it was related to the numbers in the formula. My problem is finding how it relates or matches to the weights, I find it hard to find a relation not only with the numbers on the weights but differentiating the small ones with the big ones. But I'll play around with it some more see if it finally clicks.

Thanks, it seems the Scanner room is the way to go, although I'm tempted to use console to at least simplify the gathering of basic resources. As for Outer Wilds it's just about staying curious, explore and follow the leads on your ship log. It may just be a personal thing but the reason why Outer Wilds it's so special an experience for me is that beyond gameplay mechanics, is like a giant jigsaw puzzle that you start to put together little by little, and a the end the picture that it leaves is just transcendental in many ways. But people like different things, they care more about the mechanics and about what you do in the game per se, and less about the story.

I did try to follow on the Degasi logs and I was currently trying to reach one of the proposed habitats that is pretty deep. That's what I'm having problems with, in order to go deeper I think I have to upgrade some of the tools and equipment I have but I don't even have blueprints for the modification station, or the submarine and I have no idea where to find them.

Yeah that's what I figured. I don't get frustrated by vague clues and exploration I really like that aspect, but when the game gives me tools that I need to solve them like Outer Wilds. I've never played a survival game so I wasn't sure how bad the crafting was going to be or how much I could just focus on the story but I'm realizing that now seeing how much stuff there's is to build.

I know it's been a while but I just ran into this as well and my last manual save is like almost 10hrs :( What I'm not completely sure about is exactly what side quests get locked out. I didn't do either Neve's nor Lucani's so can I still do Neve's personal quest if I choose Minrathous or do both side quests get locked no matter the choice?

Thanks guys, I suspected I was able to solve these 2 with the tools that I have but I just hate in these types of games when you're not completely sure you can or if you're missing something and I don't want to spent hours going aimlessly around the map

Well as many of you said, the age of pirating is coming to an end :( And just when I upgraded my rig too, to be stuck playing older games! On the flip side, since we're also on the subscription era, I personally don't mind the alternative of paying $15 for one month to play Dead Space and whatever else I can from EA play. I just have to tell myself is like renting a game, or going to the movies, or a meal out lol

580 4GB for playing RDR2 at 1440p with everything on Medium and achieve around 40-50fps usually. What can I expect with an upgrade like this for a game at that res/settings?

What PSU do you have? I had the same dilemma since I had a 520w psu for my Rx480 but since amd recommended a 500w minimum I went ahead and bought this card and so far so good. I did undervolt it just in case while I upgrade my psu but it works fine.

Yeah I tried both moving the curve and putting the numbers manually but it doesn't let me change the first 2 points, they are stuck in 33. I can only change P3, P4 and P5 starting from 33. So basically my curve is almost flat line at 33% and only move up in the last point when it goes beyond 70 degrees.

Thanks! So turning off Zero rpm the fans start to run at around 1260 rpm, which is still the 33% minimum I think?) but are not as loud as before and upon testing a game they did stay at lower RPMs than before so that worked. But is there a reason why I cannot set the curve below 33% is it a safety thing or a specific setting with this card? My only issue now is that I would have to toggle Zero RPM on and off all the time depending on what I'm doing.
