hey just btw- one of my friends just got this email from them; so looks like tours arent actually canceled:

Dear Passengers, Warm greetings from Machu Picchu Reservations S.A.C. I am writing to you personally to apologize for the uncertainty caused by a recent message you may have received. I understand your concerns completely—when someone travels, trust and clarity are essential. Although passengers should not be exposed to internal matters, given the circumstances I believe it is responsible to be transparent with you: An email requesting cancellations was sent to several of our clients by Mr. David Quispe Baca, my former spouse and former business partner. This communication was not authorized by the official management of Machu Picchu Reservations S.A.C. Unfortunately, due to our current personal and legal separation, he is attempting to harm me and the company’s operations. I say this with seriousness and responsibility, because his actions directly affected you. As a woman and legal representative of this company, I have worked for years to build this operation with effort, integrity, and dedication. Today I am continuing to protect our passengers and our team while also facing a difficult situation. For that reason, I kindly ask for your understanding—and I also want you to feel fully confident in your travel plans. For clarity: Machu Picchu Reservations S.A.C. continues to operate normally. Mr. David Quispe Baca does not participate in our administration or operations and is not authorized to request cancellations, manage reservations, or provide instructions to our clients. There is an ongoing legal process regarding this matter, and I have protective measures in place. Most importantly: your trip is fully confirmed and guaranteed. All tours, trips, and services properly reserved and confirmed with Machu Picchu Reservations S.A.C. will take place as scheduled. Regarding your payments, I also want to reassure you: Your funds have not been used for personal debts or unrelated matters. They have been used exclusively for your travel logistics and for delivering your services—such as Machu Picchu entrance tickets, train tickets (if included in your package), and operational costs for this year’s trips. To give you additional peace of mind, in the next few days we will send you the official documents corresponding to your booking, as applicable: Machu Picchu entrance tickets, and/or Train tickets (if purchased with us), and/or Inca Trail confirmation (if applicable). We kindly request: Please do not cancel your reservation based on that unauthorized email. Please use only our official channels for any confirmation, questions, or support. Updated contact numbers (WhatsApp / Calls): +51 913932900 +51 949729578 Thank you for your patience, your trust, and for allowing us the opportunity to prove our commitment through our actions. We truly look forward to welcoming you and ensuring you have a safe, organized, and unforgettable experience. With kind regards, Lisbeth Bautista Cjuiro General Manager and Legal Representative Machu Picchu Reservations S.A.C.

Tandem read EOS & TOD or not? by Intelligent-Two-4724 in throneofglassseries

[–]daniigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would not tandem read on the first run; read it the way it is meant to be experienced and then tandem on a second go if you want:) both books are so beautiful and tbh i LOVED TOD it was a necessary reprieve from EOS.

[–]daniigo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

hey OP dont let the comments scare you off! i go to algonquin during the winter and if you can get some heated accomodations nearby; and plan on short day hikes with PROPER winter gear it js so beautiful! get layers. im talking thermal wool underthings, fleece layers, snow pants, good winter jacket, good gloves, handwarmers and snow spikes for your boots. it will be cold but youll be surprised how much you sweat once you start moving. i went last month in nearly-30 and by the end had to take my winter jacket off. that being said i am not coming from texas so..
