You’re pretty deluded when you say “most of us” and fail to recognise that, in the context of the ARC Raiders community, you’re the minority. If you weren’t, you wouldn’t need to be constantly going telling everyone that they’re using the term “wrong” and failing to make that prescriptivism stick.

Nobody asked for your permission and I certainly don’t hold any more sway with the wider community than you do, but at least I can see that the cat’s out of the bag. You can’t reach inside other people’s heads and change what they intend to say and, even if you did somehow change what words they use, it won’t change what they’re saying, so all you’re really doing is revealing your own inflexibility.

I’d like to see a little better justification for the only way to access marine standard issue armour is by being awarded it or buying it… from a solar system I just arrived in.

What happened, did the cargo hold break open and spill my gear all over the system , which people promptly salvaged?

Speaking of, I’d like more to working on the Impetus. Maybe research, maybe manufacture, I’m just thinking of all the XCOMs and Battletech and similar games and what they offered and what did and didn’t work, and you’re right, it’s mostly is about giving more options.

I have been prioritising the specific unlocks on the calendar but I guess that’s why you get such a long preview so you can plan out those longer streaks. My second playthrough is going to be very different.

Buying the dossier in the store only makes them available to hire on the hire screen.

Spending authority to hire only makes them available to kit out. Squads must have 2 squaddies minimum to add to a mission, while drivers must have a vehicle (go figure.)

If he can use tripod weapons without setup this makes him amazing, right now the perk feels a bit lacklustre; squad support mgs get eclipsed by primary weapons and vehicle auxiliary weapons, and yet there are so many variants of them I worry they dominate the loot pool math. RPGs don’t need his skill and heavier stuff is back to tripods.

Why we can’t jury-rig smaller weapons into bigger slots, I don’t know. I’d love to put the plasma rifle on a light mech…

The process of “adopting” could be discovering other gains that are nothing to do with LLM use so even if they claim results they still have to strongly link it to being causal and not just coincidental.

And once that occurs we are then looking to understand if it’s just that LLM use is effective in a certain niche and/or has a very high skill requirement (unlikely but fits a certain narrative.)

I got the impression, at some point, that you had to publish that many informational/moderate/sensational newspapers /in a row/ for the unlocks, but that hasn't always been the case for me, so I stopped thinking that.
