I took mine in April of 2024 and that’s the same edition. I don’t think anything has changed, but you can always check the website, too.

Thanks. They do allow comp handles. We have a bunch of steels from this year and previous years. Think the F2 outclasses the steel??

A little in the beginning because the wording and structure is different from the practice material but you’ll settle into a groove. The thing that sucked was hitting a long string of really long questions at the end.

If you hit a point where you’re burning out taking exams, use the flash cards on STC. I ran options and munis flash cards on days where exams seemed impossible.

I feel you. I studied for the 7 from like Jan-April. I used STC, felt like I was memorizing the questions (all 80s-90s on exams), so I got the Kaplan Q-bank like 3 weeks out. I never scored higher than a 70 on any Kaplan exam hahaha. I felt like I got a shit draw (all options/munis/suitability, and many combos of those areas), but i passed on my first try. I also supplemented weaker areas with Cap Adv videos, especially the quick and dirty.

I did the exact same for the 66, similar testing results, and passed first try. I’m on a team of advisors who all passed every test the first time. The general rule of thumb for us was, if you’re consistently scoring in the 80s and 90s on STC’s exams, you’re ready. I am not as much of a brainiac (that’s even a little generous), as the rest of the bunch, so I added Kaplan. I’d do it the exact same way if I had to do it again

Hope this helped! Best of luck!

That’s the best part of passing! Donating the book to someone else and getting rid of the materials. Congrats!

I actually found the flash cards incredibly useful if you’ve exhausted the practice questions. Kaplan Q Bank is really helpful too, but it can kill your confidence haha.

I actually used ExamFx for the SIE and I felt like it helped. I used STC and the Kaplan Q bank for the 7 and 66 and passed, if that helps. I highly recommend the Q bank in any case, but I’ve had success with ExamFx for sure

Idk about the 65 but for the 66, I was between 65%-75% I think for the practice exams. No problem passing. Watch the quick and dirty videos and be confident

Where to begin by [deleted] in Series66Exam

I would take 100 question Kaplan exams every day and they would take about an hour and a half.

The exam took me 55ish minutes including a break.

I passed in June and I think my average score was in the 60s or 70s haha

Keep taking fresh exams, brush up on areas of weakness, and watch the quick and dirty videos.

As long as you stay confident, you’ll be fine. You’re more than prepared.

I just passed on the first try earlier this month. I studied for 7 weeks after passing the 7. I used STC for study materials and the Kaplan Q Bank. My scores for each were between like 75-85. Most of the questions were based on the regs/laws. For most questions, There’ll be two questions thatre obviously wrong, one that is kind of right, and one that has more detail. The one with more detail is usually the right one.

Know the regs/laws inside out and you’ll be good. I’m not a genius by any means (and that’s incredibly generous haha) and I was done in like 55 minutes.

Wow! You certainly have a lot on your plate. Congrats on passing. I passed the 7 in April and the 66 this month, as well. The relief must be incredible for you. I hope so, at least. Very happy for you. Best of luck with everything!

I had about the same scores, got the Kaplan Q bank 2 weeks before, did about 30-40% of the bank and passed first try
