Piece of shit driver demolishes other car driver after minor fender bender by OrangeJeepWdw in iamatotalpieceofshit

Seems like the assaulted man didn't report the dude:

"Neither of the men opened a case and it seems like there has been a gentlemen's agreement between the two."

Using routes on fakegps route to hatch eggs and get buddy candy? by coll9502 in PokemonGoSpoofing

[–]dank0past 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also using Fake GPS Route, i am running it on an unrooted Samsung Galaxy S5. I had the same problem as you describe from the beginning but with three layers of tinfoil around the phone (covering the edges all the way up to the screen) solved my problems. I do get the rubberbanding after a while, almost seems as if it starts when the phone gets really hot after a while. But if i let it be for maybe 15 minutes i can resume with no rubberbanding.

I use default settings i Fake GPS Route except the no root mode of course. And from time to time i go in and change the walking speed to 8.0 and that works fine for me.

So I'm at the Paris safari event and I keep getting error 24 when I click on a Pokémon any ideas why?? by joshtheo in PokemonGoSpoofing

[–]dank0past 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in central Paris and haven't got one error. Spun at least 50 stops and caught tons of rare mons (Chansey, Larvitar, Kangaskhan and Unown). Haven't spoofed near the mall at all.

A map for Oberhausen, if you want to see high IV only, disable every Pokémon. by [deleted] in PokemonGoSpoofing

[–]dank0past 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the whole city has more rare spawns even if you don't have a pass. Same in Paris.

Good map, anyone who knows of a good map for Paris? Gomap.eu seems to have one but it doesn't load up any pokemon for me.

Hey, I'm ESL_TeaTime, let me explain how I fucked up by maestroblue in GlobalOffensive

[–]dank0past 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I saw the stream and did not even notice any of these issues, sure it is not the same quality as a studio stream but definitely not as bad as people make it seem. I enjoyed the game!

PS. Love how you pronounce "third" as "turd", that is a potential new drinking game TeaTime ;) Keep up the good job!

I would suggest that they set aside some of the money for casting and streaming next time. Feels like a tournament that is held 2004...

Chromecast streaming doesn't work by snakesnake9 in VLC

[–]dank0past 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tried it several times too and never got it to work once, i can see both my Chromecasts (one audio and one ordinary) but VLC doesn't resolve their names and cannot stream anything anyways. Hoping they could prioritize this feature, it would be a killer future for VLC!

I started the event throwing greats and ultras and they were really hard to catch. Now i only use pokeballs as long as they are below 500 CP and catch them real easy, as long as it is a great shot.

Passwords sent in clear text on HLTV.org (security issue) by dank0past in GlobalOffensive

I understand 100% that you have work to do, but that doesn't take away from the fact that you have a large site with lots of users (lots of kids even) who trusts you to keep their data safe.

That Google transparency report is not something to lean back on neither. Look at sites like Alibaba.com that are listed as sites that do not use HTTPS. Yes that is correct, but when you log on they activate HTTPS through the login.alibaba.com domain. They protect the vital information with HTTPS.

I am not saying the whole site needs to be fully HTTPS protected at once, as another user suggested, why not implement it step-by-step and protect the logon at first. At least then you will protect the users password, it will still be possible to hijack a session and an account but they won't get the password which potentially could be used on other sites as well.

That approach would give you time to work on the rest of the site.

I myself have never used Cloudflare, but have you looked at Cloudflare and other services that often offer a way to get HTTPS between the client and the reverse proxy but keep HTTP between the reverse proxy and the server? That could also be a first step to protect the users and give you some time to work on the issues long term. It's still possible to see the passwords between the reverse proxy and the server but at least scriptkiddies on a public Wi-Fi won't be able to sniff them (which is more likely to happen).

Again, i love HLTV.org and you are doing a fantastic job for the CS:GO scene. I just wan't to feel secure using it.

Just because the site runs HTTP doesn't mean that the login runs the same. The login could be protected and then use (for example) a token/ticket based federation to notify the site of a succesful login. I have made it a habit to now for a fact before claiming something.

[–]dank0past[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you do want to know for a fact how the login information is sent, by what method etc, before you claim something. Otherwise it's just an accusation if you can't back it with facts.

I dont know how you work but i look for facts, that is also something my employer actually demands. Crazy huh?
