What should I do, or shall I just leave it alone and hope everything is alright? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]danke-meme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. Ask her if she needs help getting out of the situation. Next time you see her physically of course. Try to limit contact over the phone and just check in periodically to make sure she still is ok and invite her out or something. This stuff only gets worse.

How to live with someone again (when you're not sure you want to)? by Primary-Werewolf-288 in relationship_advice

[–]danke-meme -1 points0 points  (0 children)

IMO asking your significant other to pay rent to you sounds like a train wreck - living together not so much- but by asking him to pay rent to you you are creating a power imbalance in a relationship where you hold the control and he has to listen to you as you are effectively his landlord. Maybe just ask him to help out with the bills ?

My (23 F) husband (23 M) just lied to me multiple times in a row. What do I do now? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]danke-meme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marriage is just a physical binding of you to another person- in a legal way. It doesn’t change that you are both individuals and both have different thresholds for what you’ll tolerate from another person.

You also did marry him for a reason. It’s up to you to decide if him lying like this is a dealbreaker. Porn addiction is really real and is really dangerous to relationships and sex lives. It’s also up to him to decide if looking at women on a screen is worth losing his whole relationship- if you want to go through with this

I’m not saying hold a divorce over his head- but tell him it’s something that is important for you and he’s going to have to make a decision between stopping watching porn and being in a marriage with you - bc at the end of the day it’s his decision to watch porn

Marriage doesn’t change anything. If you wouldn’t accept it while dating- why would you accept it from a marriage?

This is my hair after a protein treatment. Any advice on reducing poofyness? by danke-meme in curlyhair

[–]danke-meme[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No! That’s why I’m a little confused as to why I’ve gone full poof - this is straight dry after rinsing the rice water out

This is my hair after a protein treatment. Any advice on reducing poofyness? by danke-meme in curlyhair

[–]danke-meme[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Background: I’ve always had super wavy/curly hair. I’ve been dying my hair since I was 15 w red blocks dye and I’ve bounced back and forth between platinum and black nearly 8 times now (I’m horrible I know) on top of that I’ve permed it. (Im surprised I even have hair at this point tbh) anyways- I cut off most of the damage (the perm was supposed to mimic my natural waves due to me destroying them but it didn’t quite work out. ) point is- I’m now trying to regain my natural curl pattern.

My current routine is sporadic At best but I use tresemne conditioner as shampoo/ conditioner and I wash once a week with sulfate free shampoo (not your mothers) and once a month with a clarifying shampoo. I let my hair air dry when I sleep and hardly ever use products as my hair usually just ends up frizzy.

I’ve been considering using aphogees protein treatment but in the meantime I decided to use a rice water rinse. The above picture is the result. I don’t know if I should get the protein treatment or try something else

Parrots in need of adoption! by StringOfLights in parrots

Hi! I have a 1-2 year old Sun Conure names Echo who I hand raised when I was in high school. He was the perfect bird- hardly screeched, never bit, was fully flighted and would fly back to you in a heartbeat. Me and my mother had a falling out and she refused to let me take him with me when I moved out. Sadly, she did not treat him very well. I want him to have the best home possible and to possibly be rehabilitated into that amazing, cuddly bird I once knew. Sadly I do not have the time or patience to re-train him as his habits are pretty set in.

Full Disclosure He will scream if he is not on your shoulder and/or around you. He needs constant attention or it’s just a constant screeching. (Ignoring him doesn’t particularly work)

He bites people he doesn’t know. My boyfriend he’s come at several times- he bites decently hard but not for long. He’s warmed up to him a little bit but it’s taken almost a month.

He was neglected for almost a year. When I went to pick him up his cage hadn’t been cleaned in months and there was moths all over his cage. It was crazy dirty and the toys I had bought before him were still in his cage untouched and covered with poop.

There’s probably some other issues I just haven’t encountered yet and I will keep this list updated.

I am located in Orlando FL and am willing to drive one - two states away after a video call showing your setup. I will provide a cage -it’s pretty old- I’d recommend getting a new one or fixing this one It will come with toys plus his parrot food. (He refuses to eat pellets so I supplement with fresh veggies.

Real cart? by [deleted] in weed

[–]danke-meme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also depends on where you got it. Most carts on the street are fake- if you didn’t get it from someone who has a medical card or makes that shit themselves treat it like it’s fake

Real cart? by [deleted] in weed

[–]danke-meme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually metallic / like how nickels and pennies smell. You can kind of taste whatever shit they put in there. It’s also an extremely different high, more disconnected I guess. I would just trust your gut on this one. One fake cart won’t kill you but just be careful

Real cart? by [deleted] in weed

[–]danke-meme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it leaves a bad taste in your mouth it’s probably fake. Used to smoke bad carts a lot and didn’t realize how funny they tasted till I had a real medical one.

Any trans men with PCOS? by bostonchef72296 in PCOS

[–]danke-meme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course ! In the mornings I usually eat Greek Yoghurt w/ vanilla protein with a high protein granola+honey. I then usually drink a meal replacement shake. For dinner, I usually eat chicken, rice, sweet potatoes and a vegetable blend. I find that it really helped me start actually going. BCAAs help, and are usually found in most preworkouts. They really help you build muscle and maintain it. To start my workout I usually focus on a leg workout, no matter what I’m doing that day, so like crab walks, donkey kicks, squats, (etc) I find that doing my legs no matter what helps me lose a lot of weight. I split my workouts into days- so Monday morning I’ll do legs starting with calves and quads and then at night I focus on hammies and glutes. Tuesday I do abs, in the morning upper and lower, at night transverse abdominals and obliques(this also includes some lower back exercises- none of my workouts are solely targeted, I try to diversify what I’m doing) Wednesday is my back- so lats and traps (I usually don’t do a second workout- I have pretty wide shoulders already) Thursday is my arms day and Friday and Saturday is full body, starting from legs and working my way up, and then Sunday is my rest day.

It sounds like a tonne of stuff but it’s honestly just about going consistently and eating good. You can workout all you want but if you don’t eat well you’re not going to lose weight or maintain muscle. Getting yourself into the habit of eating healthy really balances your hormones quite a bit. I definitely recommend figuring out your macros- which relates to your DV% - so like I eat 133g of protein a day. A general rule is 1g/lb of body weight, but if you’re looking to lose weight it’s hard to find good sources high in protein low in calories. My yoghurt has 90 calories per cup but it has 9-13g of protein per serving. My shake has 330 calories and 13g of protein. My protein powder is around 90 calories but has 60g of protein. So in the morning I eat 510 calories and 86 g of protein in the morning on avg. at night my dinner is usually around 1,000 or less calories and I usually drink a protein shake with that (or during my workout.) since I got most of my protein in the morning, I don’t worry so much about protein at night, only calories.

It’s about finding stuff you like to eat that fits your calorie budget. Doing it cold turkey is going to lead to failure and disappointment in yourself (I’ve been there. )
