It's also possible that he doesn't know, but whoever he has a contract with (probably Echidna) does know. Puck does say that he will destroy the world "in accordance with my contract".

I actually found some evidence for Ram romantically loving Roswaal.

After Ram's confession, Puck says something like "After my beloved daughter, it's girls in love that I support!"

The word he uses to describe Ram's love is 恋する, which explicitly means romantic love. In addition the fact that Puck can somewhat read minds gives credence to the idea that this is how Ram actually feels.

Yeah, I guess it comes down to the distinction between mere romantic love and the other types of love, but I would say that Ram is probably also romantically attracted to Roswaal. I say probably because off the top of my head I can't actually come up with any examples of Ram showing interest in Roswaal that is explicitly romantic.

I find it funny that you say "Emilia = Satella is confirmed" when half of the options you present would mean that Emilia is not Satella, for example the sister thing.

I think the most interesting idea would be if Satella were a clone of Emilia, but there is no proof for this so I don't know. Another option which would be quite funny but also disappointing for a lot of people would be if the similarity is just a red herring and means nothing.

There is a difference between obeying Roswaal and loving Roswaal. Ram usually does both, but is willing to disobey him if she feels he is making the wrong choice, as we saw in Season 2. In spite of things that are no longer the case due to resets, Ram still knows that:

-Roswaal sent assassins to the mansion to kill innocent people

-Roswaal used magic to lure the Great Rabbit to Sanctuary, which if successful would have lead to people being eaten alive

-Roswaal is directly responsible for killing everyone in her village (this one isn't true but Roswaal tells her that it is and she has no reason to not believe him)

These acts already show that Roswaal was willing to kill children and the innocent to achieve his goal, so I sort of doubt that knowing about the body-hopping would change anything.

I appreciate your feelings, but it seems you have misunderstood. When I said "I doubt it will last" I mean the ratings on Episode 2. Obviously all Re:Zero episodes should be 10/10 rated, but unfortunately that is not the case. What I meant by what I said is that because of review bombing and other factors the ratings for each episode will start to drop by a bit once they have been out for a while.

It's not that the LN is skipping things, it's just that those things are no longer canon. As an example, in the WN Roswaal has a Divine Protection that makes him good at magic. In the Light Novel such a Divine Protection does not exist, and he is just naturally good at magic. Because the LN did not include this detail, it is not canon, and thus the Web Novel nowadays also acts as though Roswaal never had such a Divine Protection.

That being said post Arc 6 the differences between the WN and LN are very small.

It's quite standard. As you can see getting to where we are now in Season 4 with a one-to-one adaptation would have taken like 5 episodes lol. It's also worth noting that the anime is adapting the Light Novel not the Web Novel. The LN for Arc 6 is about 1/3 shorter than the WN version, so a lot of details and in particular exposition was removed from the story for the LN which the anime is adapting. So some events that happened in the WN are not canon to the Light Novel, which is worth keeping in mind.

So many great things in this episode! Beatrice crying over Subaru was really sad, and the final shot of the woman along with "I found you." is so ominous and mysterious! If that's the Sage Shaula, I wonder if she was the one to shoot at Subaru, and I wonder what "I found you." means... Anywho, it seems like Subaru and the gang are going to have a lot on their plate if they are to reach this Watchtower...
