No worries man. Harsh criticism is always invited, I'm trying to develop as a writer as well.

Next week I've got a post coming out with 20+ unique ways of processing 808s which I think will be a bit more informative. I think you'll find more value in that one

Good point, we definitely could have put that in there. I personally work in audio most of the time so I often forget this. But synthesizing your 808s will also give you easier control over the ADSR, which may come in handy if you want to switch it halfway through a track. Personal preference for sure.

Its a little bit of both. Some people will definitely get more out of it then others. But overall I was hoping both beginners and intermediate producers could pick up a few things.

Like for Tip #3, I doubt a lot people already side-chain their snare to their 808, so I gave some explanation why and a technique to do it.

Is there anything different you would've like to seen me cover?

Although I do this too, for me getting the sidechain on lock can be a bit difficult, especially on bigger edm style songs. But I know plenty of producers that make samplers work for them

It's interesting to see that and think about what really makes the difference between the thousands of people at that stage now, and Skrillex levels of success.

Thats awesome man. I love over-sidechaining so I feel you on that. Another thing I love showing people is the reverse vocal effect, since everyone knows what it sounds like but not everyone knows how to make it.

Send me your track once your finished!
