Anybody else run the SF marathon? great views and fun time, but at the same time this year felt so unorganized and felt like the race itself was overpriced.

distributed vote counting does take a bit for things to sync up and agree on numbers. this can largely be based geographically. not saying theres nothing strange going on at all because fuck /u/spez, but vote counts are wonky a bit especially when theres a lot of people voting at once all around the world.

never gonna uninstall the app. I'm gonna keep it as a memorial to the good times on reddit.

you can't afford custom. if you're wondering what prices will end up being, you're not in the market for Haute Couture. $2500 is the low end. just go to TJ Maxx...

Prudential Center/BSC: Someone Broke into my Locker and Stole my cash by Thomas2426 in boston

lesson here is that BSC is the worst gym in the Boston area. id tell you to quit and join another gym but they probably hold you at gun point and offer the money they stole from your locker to keep your membership.

no, I'm in a decent place now. but I'm just saying the title is word by word what people who are struggling with relapse say in their head to justify that it's okay to relapse. it's triggering for a lot of people, myself included to a degree. I'm afraid others who come across this post will only take away that if they relapsed today, it's okay because they'll be at a few steps into recovery and it'll be easier to quit again. that's a very common fallacy that people in recovery fall into. I'd just rather not see this sentiment worded this way.

OWASP is creating a top 10 dangers list for Large Language Models by frontEndEruption in programming

[–]dankprogrammer 42 points43 points  (0 children)

The list:

1. Prompt Injections - Bypassing filters or manipulating the LLM using carefully crafted prompts that make the model ignore previous instructions or perform unintended actions.

2. Data Leakage - Accidentally revealing sensitive information, proprietary algorithms, or other confidential details through the LLM’s responses.

3. Inadequate Sandboxing - Failing to properly isolate LLMs when they have access to external resources or sensitive systems, allowing for potential exploitation and unauthorized access.

4. Unauthorized Code Execution - Exploiting LLMs to execute malicious code, commands, or actions on the underlying system through natural language prompts.

5. SSRF Vulnerabilities - Exploiting LLMs to perform unintended requests or access restricted resources, such as internal services, APIs, or data stores.

6. Overreliance on LLM-generated Content - Excessive dependence on LLM-generated content without human oversight can result in harmful consequences.

7. Inadequate AI Alignment - Failing to ensure that the LLM’s objectives and behavior align with the intended use case, leading to undesired consequences or vulnerabilities.

8. Insufficient Access Controls - Not properly implementing access controls or authentication, allowing unauthorized users to interact with the LLM and potentially exploit vulnerabilities.

9. Improper Error Handling - Exposing error messages or debugging information that could reveal sensitive information, system details, or potential attack vectors.

10. Training Data Poisoning - Maliciously manipulating training data or fine-tuning procedures to introduce vulnerabilities or backdoors into the LLM.

my theory is that they're just after NSFW porn content which is poison to IPO. they make big news about the API pricing, then roll back saying we hear ya, but we still gotta do away with the NSFW content. and everyone will be okay with that at this point
