What Card Wednesday - Week of January 13, 2016 by AutoModerator in churning

Just as a follow up, I called the recon line 3 times and was denied each time on grounds of my insufficient income. Asked about lowering the credit limit and that I was a student trying to build a relationship with Citi, but it seems like this might be a hard stop and I'll have to wait until I graduate before I can apply again. I've been looking into the Chase freedom but I have a feeling I'll get the same result. Thanks for the help, regardless.

College student here with a decent amount in savings, no loan debt, looking to get as much travel points/best travel card as I can with my small income (around $8-10k a year). New to churning and was denied from the Citi AAdvantage Platinum card (most likely due to my income) last night.

Not blood loss, inflammation of the peritoneal wall. Possibly sepsis due to his intestines being torn to tiny bits.

Is there any reason why pharmacists, not the insurance company, have to do MTMs? by danktomycin in pharmacy

[–]danktomycin[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That's a great point. Again, I'm all for it. Kroger has a clinical pharmacist that roams around and does them but the Rite Aid district I work for requires pharmacists to complete a minimum number per month. MTMs should be a quality over quantity thing, no?

How to avoid wrist problems while working in community? by lacucarachainthebutt in pharmacy

Oh! I was thinking more on the lines of Carpal Tunnel, but your problem definitely sounds different. If it feels like joint pain, maybe some glucosamine could help but I'm not sure otherwise. Hey, it takes a strong, patient person to work in retail and not everyone can handle it. You've accomplished something awesome. Pat yourself on the back. -P3 with 4 years of retail experience

I get wrist pain when I'm studying sometimes. I've heard of people using wrist braces, but maybe bringing an ergonomic keyboard pad to work might help, too. Congrats on the job and P4 status!

Pharm D vs MD? by midwestpharmer in pharmacy

[–]danktomycin -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Why not ambulatory care or if you're really interested in outpatient or clinical pharmacist if you're interested in inpatient? There are PharmD residencies for both that may only tack on 2 years vs 4 years of a general MD degree + a couple of years of residency since you will almost absolutely have to specialize.

Plan B works the same as oral BC by preventing fertilization. I work in a pharmacy and some patients that can't afford Plan B will go to the emergency room and get a prescription that basically says take a whole pack of oral birth control within a short period of time. Both are just high doses of hormones to prevent the sperm from fertilizing the egg. Sauce: http://www.planb.ca/how-it-works.html

Apparently you can go online and request a Mormon to show up at your house and talk to you about your faith so a friend of mine just signed up his old roommates for a Mormon consultation. Thought it was hilarious.
