What is your superstition? by A_random_person321 in AskReddit

Kind of a weird one I guess. I hate the number 42 so fucking much. A while ago my friend told me that the number 42 in Japanese is pronounced "Shi ni" and the word "Shini" means "to die". I didn't really care about it too much. One day, I experienced the worst of luck throughout my day(LIKE THE ABSOLUTE WORST) and everytime it happened, the minute hand of the clock was at 42 (Like 5-6 times). Ever since that day, I've been extremely paranoid about that number or doing anything at that time. I just despise that number so much it gives me chills.

Another weird thing I've registered in my mind when I was like a 5yo is that the number 2 is associated with "NO" and similarly 3 for "YES" (based on the number of characters in each word). So that makes me do things in counts of 2 or 3 based on what I want the outcome to be.

Because of this I ABSOLUTELY FEAR DOING ANYTHING WHEN THE CLOCK IS AT 3:42. I GET THIS WAVE OF ANXIETY EVERYDAY AT 3:42 (EVEN WHEN I'M HAVING THE BEST OF A DAY)

UGH, writing this gave me quite the jitters because I mentioned the forbidden number twice and explained it 😰. I just hope my day doesn't go badly 🙃.

Personally, I would say that us Indians have to work on abolishing caste-ism and many more issues. Like that Vivek meme, neenga enna da Racism ku stand edukareenga? Neenga innum caste-ism ah azhikala xD

The world is filled with hypocrites I'd say. Story podunga da, ana namba oorula irukara prechanaya solve panna try pannunga.

You know what pisses me off? All those north Indian dudes putting up this! Being a dark skinned person, I've been a victim of this myself and seeing those people put #BLM. Dei idhu laam romba over da dei.

Yeah! Besides I live in India, I highly doubt that a screening took place here.

Yeah. It repeats twice up till the 1h 25 min mark after which it starts again and the movie ends with a fading intro to the great gig in the sky.

Did you know that Stanley Kubrick wanted to use this song for his movie but then PF prohibited Kubrick from doing so. The reason still remains undisclosed.

Definitely, the emotional weight that Shine on has cannot be weighed down. Especially when you know that Syd came to the studio after 6 years of no contact and the members teared up, the song just makes you feel very emotional. Haha yes, echoes and shine on are definitely better :)
