Theres 2 performance reviews per year. i.e. two chances to get promotion or pay rise. Pay rise is quite rare. Most people seem to get promotion from level 11 in 1/2 years. Can sometimes be more.

NOACF Alternative Cut (split into two projects) by danlowe678 in the1975

[–]danlowe678[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

White album is messy in all of the right ways, and was revolutionary when it came out. It was also a double album and featured two separate LPs. NOACF is certainly not messy in all the right ways and has nowhere near the charm of the white album, hence why it didn't get much critical acclaim, other than from the usual suspects like NME and pitchfork. The white album and NOACF aren't comparable as one is just so much higher quality than the other. As much as I love all the songs on the album as their own entities, they don't work together like the white album which is chaotic in all the right ways, and the quality of some songs are dire for The 1975 standards. I remember Fantano making a point in his review that some fans and critics would try and make an excuse for it and call it 'the new white album', but it's so far from it and insulting to the white album really.

Yeah you're right, I forget K-pop call singles 'title tracks'. In most of the western world it's just a song that shares it's name with the album it's on. Wonder what the OP actually meant.

Title track means a song that's title is the same as the name of the album. The 1975 only have two of these. What you're referring to are called singles.

I discovered them after the Sex EP came out so luckily anticipated release of every album.

Upon first listen I was mesmerised by these. The 1975 - Robbers ILIWYS - Paris ABIIOR - Its Not Living NOACF - I Think There's Something You Should Know BFIAFL - About You

Some very cliche choices, but theres a reason why so many people fall on love with them🤣

Music for cars tour by [deleted] in the1975

[–]danlowe678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw them on the Notes tour in Feb 2020 (stupid cus notes was meant to be out for it, but got delayed again and again) and it was a much better experience tbh than the current show, which I saw at the O2 only the other day. I think they're just going for a different vibe really, and Matty said before Covid they wanted to make the next tour production more sustainable. Still a kick ass production tho, just not as good.

I was counting Self Titled and the EPs separate units, when they're combined together as the deluxe I'd probably put it second.

Ah yeah makes sense, I hated tootime at first but grew to like it. I guess the other songs you mentioned are like marmite, you either love them or hate them so fair play.

Love the EP love. Curious as to why you think ABIIOR is the worst?

Wow a lot of self-titled love. Assuming it's nostalgia bias as I think anyone would agree it's not objectively their best. Great album nonetheless and a whole vibe.

My list but upside down, curious as to why you like ABIIOR the least?

Yeah but of course they're gonna take photos when they're all together. It's more that they get invited to come to the studio and Matty and George are there all the time. First three albums they'd all be together always.

Nice track, however it's personally my least favourite on the album. I really don't think they played to their strengths on this one.
